I remember for awhile there was evidence out there that they were renaming the Rev the "Nintendo GO", but it turned out to be a rumor fueled by old Revolution concept logos or something. I think it's still too early to say something like this, especially if it's not on Nintendo of Japan; we'll know for sure by E3.

So you think that the English language Nintendo site believed a rumor fueled by something random? ![]()

And shop workers everywhere will cringe anytime anyone says they need a Wii. To be honest, it seems like this sort of thing is, to some extent, an attempt to drum up the sort of interest they'll need in order to compete with the PS3 and 360. I dread to think of the accessories and peripherals.

They could call it the Nintendo Crapbox for all I care, I still think it's going to be a good, affordable system, and I still plan on buying one when it comes out.

It's a silly name. Revolution sounds much better. Has more impact. Just what is Wii supposed to mean anyway?

I plan on buying two Wii's so I can play with my Wii Wii ALL DAY LONG! Then all of the other Nintendo fans will go WII WII WII ALL THE WAY HOME!! But seriously, the name sucks. http://money.cnn.com/2006/04/27/commentary...ntendo/?cnn=yes Kaplan sheds a little light about the name change in this interview.
