Finally they got their heads out of their asses. I think this game will be on high demand possibly, and IF I get a DS (Possibly) I'll defanetely get this game.

^ Sorta. It's Nintendo's newest (though not yet released) handheld that can dish out N64-like graphics and includes a touch screen. If I remember correctly, it'll also be backwards compatible with GBA games. So it isn't an improved version like the GBA SP; it's a whole new system. Anyways, as I said before, if FFIIIj makes it to the western world then it's about damn time. Not only that, but the lineup of other games is looking pretty good in my opinion. Looks like I may finally be gettin' another handheld to keep my fossilized Game & Watches and original GameBoy company.

What more can I say than 'Yay!'? Well, this. I was sort of torn between 3 options - the DS, the PSP, or neither. I was sort of leaning towards the final option, but now I'll more than likely buy a DS. IIIj is a brilliant game, of far higher quality, atleast gameplay wise, than IV, VII, VIII, IX, X, I, and II, in my opinion. (And it is just my opinion.) I've been hoping for a good remake since I played and it for the first time, back in about January. It had some awesome music and, most notable, the job class system! I want to see some of those jobs, DS style.

Most of the games suck and I'd rather be doing other things when I'm on the go. Besides, when I'm going places I tend to be the driver. Hard to play a handheld when you're trying to maneuver through traffic. It does sound like a nice system though, an EB sales associate told me all about it. ![]()

I think I will buy it. However I haven't supported Nintendo for a while now, but this might do the trick for me.

On the bright side since the DS is so far off, I can get it when DS is out and its out in theory.. PROVIDING they do the UK release. Now FF tactics and FF 13 with an AK47 please. ![]()

Oh sweet! I've been looking forward to this. FF3j was the best RPG ever produced on the NES, IMHO, yet it took what, a good 15-20 years before Square worked up the balls to release it to us? This is going to be greeeat... ![]() Edit: I wonder if they'll consider rereleasing their earlier games. >:) Y'know, pre-FF.

It's great new to be sure, but it kinda bugs me that FF3 might (as in probably would ) be my only reason for buying the new DS. While part of me is excited about finally having an oppurtunity to finish FF's 1-10, another part of me is saying, "Can't they at least put it on a bloody home system?"

Quote (Ejoty @ 22nd October 2004 13:40) "Can't they at least put it on a bloody home system?" I must disagree. But I assume by doing so that I'm going to be the minority... I have roughly 2 hours/week that I can spend playing games at home. I have about 1 or 2 hours a day that I spend doing nothing either on break at work or somewhere else waiting for something. I would LOVE to have all the FFs on a portable system so that I could actually have time to play them. this is what happens when you become an adult I suppose though.

A simple PS1 release woulda' been nice... it's kinda' a stab in the throat to all those PS owners that have followed the series on Sony systems. It leaves a rather nasty hole in my PS game shelf between FF Origins and FF Anthology.

About Time, but they really should have released it for GBA as well(Should I pay 150$ for a DS just to play 1 game, maybe). But it is about time.

Man Square Enix is such a jerk. Why make ff games for handhelds? Why not just make FFIIIj and Mystic Quest remakes for the PSone?... This is so lame.. Square Enix is just trying to snatch peoples' money. If you guys buy the handheld and the game for it, FFIIIj, you're a sucker. Because you can already download the rom of the original japanese version and the Nes Emulator.. Sorry if I made you mad, but these guys just like to get money. I'm definetly not buying.. Even if it will have better graphics and sound. I don't really care. I'll beat FF Mystic Quest for the SNES and then challenge FFIII again (But still I was in the early parts ![]()
