They couldn't have made people angrier if he had just shouted "SQUARE ENIX" into a microphone, dropped it, and walked off the stage with his middle fingers up his nose. On the bright side, this displays one important fact: SE knows that people want them to remake FFVII, and they are shilling to it. They won't get away with this trick forever, you see. Still...just...who in their right mind thought that such a style of presentation would be a good idea? It boggles the brains it does.

The audience is visibly less excited after the trailer than in the lead-up.

Quote (Spooniest @ 9th December 2014 02:38) On the bright side, this displays one important fact: SE knows that people want them to remake FFVII, and they are shilling to it. They won't get away with this trick forever, you see. That's not new though. They've known that since the PS2. They can get away with it as long as they like, really, because it's inexpensive to port the thing and people will keep buying it. The amount of work involved to do a remake, on the other hand, is very high and would involve taking a team away from doing the kind of creative new projects they want to be doing. And at the end of the day a remake may, as we've somewhat talked about in the thread on fast airships, not even work.
