| Quote (SilverFork) Nintendo announced the console would be able to play past games, via download, from systems such as the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Super Nintendo, the Nintendo 64, and the GameCube. Now that would kick ass. Just imagine, Mega Man 6, Felix the Cat, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Star Fox 64, Metroid Prime, Kirby Superstar, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid...all on the same console. That might actually (gasp!) drive me to buy it. Well, okay, not all companies would necessarily re-release their old games via this system, most likely. Some rare games such as Felix the Cat would be missing entirely, probably but sadly. Still, though, if Squenix would allow SMRPG and CT and FFIV and FFVI on that (original versions, minus perhaps the Sketch Glitch), and Nintendo re-released all its classics (SMet, SMW2YI, etc.) on it, that would be a bombshell. And especially since it only requires the transfer of computer data, without the barrier of cartridge manufacturing in the way, this might be rather easy for those 3rd-party companies. I'd encourage them in any case, since I'm pretty confident that new fans will discover older games and enjoy them too. The thriving survival of 2D games on consoles like the GBA proves that 3D does not own the market, and there's definitely a place for 2D games. Now, if only Felix the Cat and Tail 'Gator (Game Boy) were more popular... | |

| Not to burst your bubble or anything GMH, but that's pretty old news. I can't believe it's unvieling it so late. I was hoping that would be more of the release date personally, but I guess we'll just have to wait. I'm still baffled and amazed by the controller and wonder what else there is that they could add. | |
