If it's free to play, then where's the money coming from? People buying non-basic goodies?

Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 7th October 2010 14:30) If it's free to play, then where's the money coming from? People buying non-basic goodies? That seems pretty likely to me, or it could be ad-supported to some degree, or it could be something they've already decided will be an acceptable loss for the company, or it could be all of the above.

Hey it's finally coming out eh? I loved Dofus. If it's anything like it's predecessor, it'll be a great fresh take on mmo gaming. Definitely not one of your run-o-the-mill types. Moreover, the artistry and animation were a lot of fun, not to mention the many bits of humor scattered throughout the texts, so I've got high expectations for this one.

Hi ! I have access to the beta closed of wakfu v2 ( i'm french ). For the future payment, it will be like dofus, there is a free zone ( exple level 1 to 50 ), and if you will pay about 5 euros/month, you will have access to the full game ( level 1 to 200 ). Wakfu haven't the same gameplay as dofus even if they have both the same class, have a look at the www.wakfu.com/na ! Ankama said the game will be finish in april 2011.
