There's no such thing as a well equipped Edward. It's a myth. Otherwise, love the new info! Good Gods, a fifty level bonus dungeon! I should buy stock in Cottages.

The game comes out the 12th of December, unless the release date has secretly been changed sometime during the past few months. Heh. I had planned on putting Bardy McSissypants in my final party anyway. Seriously, I always do really well with him normally; the status ailments unleashed by his harps work almost half the time as it is (or at least for me), so imagine him at much higher levels with more powerful harps/status ailments. Glee!! Yeah, that's probably the last thing many of y'all wanna think about. ![]() I wonder what's gonna happen to the scenes before the final battle. If you're able to switch around party members after the scene where the surviving characters gather at the top of the Mysidian tower, wouldn't that dramatically alter what happens prior to fighting Zeromus? Or does this mean that the scene (including all the "We give you our energy!" bits) has been changed and you're able to rerecruit those characters at an earlier point? And now I'm just confusing myself.

Quote (dont chocobos rule? @ 13th November 2005 17:38) Edward! now stronger than ever!!!! he now does 12 DMG!!!!! strongest man in the world!!! You do realize that, at least in the original FFII (US), Edward regularly did a more-than-decent amount of damage. Rydia had a hit rate about 5% and did about 9 damage regularly, but Edward could do about 50-60 damage at that same point in the game, as well as an actual hit rate of about 90%, which is about where Cecil's is. In other words, I welcomed the fact that he could actually kill stuff dead in battle, despite the fact that he uses one of the most absurd weapons I've seen. Back to topic, though, I assume this means that Yang, Edward, Cid, and the twins will be playable? Quote (Zero_Hawk) The new dungeon is going to be a total length of fifty floors Something tells me that this is going to be rather excessive. Even the Phoenix Tower of FFV had only 30 stories, and it was a rather narrow tower (as opposed to a wide dungeon). Quote (Zero_Hawk) The main purpose of the dungeon is to power up your characters so that they aren't lacking behind the others massively. I remember having fun having the rest of my party KOed and having Rydia Sylph creature after creature in battle after battle just to make her catch up with the rest of the party in terms of experience levels. Maybe this version will be better in that regard?

That is wonderful news about being able to use anyone at the end of the game. I think that was one of my few hang-ups with the original. Oh, and 50 level dungeon...... ![]()

Why is it that Rosa's menu picture looks like a man, and Cecil's looks like a woman? Why cant they just leave them, please. I always wanted to try a Single Edward Challenge. And now I can play as my favorite character, Porom! Hey, maybe they'll give me the chance to not have to use Cid at all during the game. No more Cecil-Tellah-Yang-Cid madness! ![]() But if we get to use characters again, they might have to change the story...what are they gonna do about the Dark Elf battle? Maybe Edward's harp will be able to kill him in one hit! Yay! Edit It also looks like they reverted to the FFVI style of showing HP and the time bar. Before they had just the HP and MP showing. I hated that. vNever bothered with reading. Sorry.

It doesn't say you can change your party at any point in the game. Just at the end. Reading is a marvelous way to learn things ![]()
