Truly this is the stuff that fangasms are made of. Cecil's voice is way, way, way too young, though. Sigh. (in before "he's 20!" I know, I just don't like it)

Wow, did they change the logo from Kain to Golbez? Anyhow, that trailer is pretty hot. I definitely want to see some more in-game footage before I get too excited, but consider me around medium-well on the grill of hype. Aww, **** it. It's FF IV, and it's the DS. There's no way I'm avoiding this one.

(O____o) ... I need to change my pants. BRB. EDIT: Okay, pants changed. Personally, I rather like Cecil's voice. After all, he IS 20. The graphics are amazing, and being the rabid, crazed FFIV fanboy that I am, I'm beyond excited. I read an article a little while ago that interviewed some of the people making the game, and one of them was the original scene director. I may have been mistaken, but I think he said only about 1/4 of the scenes actually made it into the game, and that they'll be incorperating the other 3/4. (I'm so excited, I'm not even worried about spelling. xD) I'll have to find that article and post it here, sometime. BTW, do we have someone on the forums who knows japanese well enough to translate this trailer? BTW, I found the article. :3 http://gamanima.wordpress.com/2007/05/18/s...-iv-ds-details/ EDIT (again): Okay, I've done a little underground searching, and found quite a few more screenshots that we haven't seen yet. ![]() ![]() ![]() And also, a few new magazine pages with art and info. - Final Fantasy IV DS - Page One - Final Fantasy IV DS - Page Two - Final Fantasy IV DS - Page Three Just like to mention. The gameplay looks AWESOME.

Yep, this looks very promising. I especially like the way the game graphics look different to FFIII; they could have used the same style but there's an obvious difference and improvement. Liking it.

The last words, said by Rosa, are "I love you, Cecil." (Or literally, "I 'like' you," but that's those understating Japanese for you.) Kain uses "boku" a lot, which you would expect from him. (Kadaj used it in Advent Children, for instance.) Annnnnd that's all I can do.

FFIV DS...what can i say but brilliant! I never personally liked the FFIII style much, but i think this will be an amazing game. The trailer was amazing, especially incorporating in the tower of Babil and the whole thing that happens there with the tanks and airships when the giant attacks. Speaking of the giant, i cant wait to see if there will be anime-like cutscenes put in in some places, such as when the giant attacks, or when they find Edward hurt in bed. They better keep the same good lines, like Spoony Bard, hehe This brings me to think which 8 or 16-bit ff theyll turn 3-d next...FFI? FFVI? or maybe FFII? Well just have to wait and see, since they are also bent on delivering FFXIII as early as possible as well as FFXIIRW and FFTA2.

That trailer was friggen awesome. Hell, I might consider getting this remake if it does improve the original quality and dodges away from the laggy GBA version. Man, now I'm so excited but pissed off that I'll have to get a Nintendo DS just to play it, the same reason I got a GBA to play FF4 Advance. I hope this continues on with FFV and FFVI. Mystic QUest remake would be pretty cool too.

That looks awesome. Too bad I don't own a DS. =( I lost my copy of IV a while ago, so it would be great to be able to play it again. It would be okay if they added at least a LITTLE bit of character development, instead of "Let's travel together!" "Okay."

Man, that looks really promising to be another brilliant game from them. Good thing i've had a DS for a while now (got it when it first came out), and I can keep myself busy while i'm waiting for it with FFIII DS I just happened to get a couple of weeks ago (also another good promised game). Quote NeoEx-Death Posted on 31st May 2007 12:18 I hope this continues on with FFV and FFVI. Mystic QUest remake would be pretty cool too. I'm backin' Neo all the way here. I haven't played Mystic Quest in a while (maybe a year since i hooked up my Super Nintendo), and that would be nice. I would like that they do (if they chose to) make a Mystic Quest game for the DS what they did for FFIII DS. In FFIII DS, they didn't just start out with all four characters in the cave going to the crystal. They gave each character an identity (a background is a better word for it) and not just some four random people. They didn't change the story, but made it more clear and better. I would like to see a FFV and FFVI as well, as long as they keep doing it the way they have been with FFIII and soon to be FFIV. Anyway, i'm anticipating the release for it. ![]() ![]()

Four DS Good, Mistake Quest Bad. Dwarf tanks are pretty sweet. Not as sweet as a Challenger, but sweet.

Did someone want a translation? It's a rush job but I'm pretty confident in it. I'd like to check it off of the game script, but I'm doing this over my lunch break. ![]() Rosa: Cecil, I heard that the Red Wings are going on an expedition. Cecil: Yeah. Rosa: To where? Cecil: Mysidia. Rosa: Mysidia? Why to that wizard's village? Cecil: His majesty's order was to safeguard the crystal of water. Airships: the flying ships of which the people dreamed. But that technology is capable of going beyond the fulfillment of dreams, and becoming a means of fulfilling ambitions. The kingdom of Baron became the world's greatest millitary state through the "Red Wings" airship force. Why did King Baron, posessor of unmatched power, seek the crystals? Cecil: Why are the crystals necessary for the prosperity of our kingdom? Rosa: You aren't that sort of person. Cecil: I stole the crystal from the Mysidians, from people who had committed no crime. This is exactly the image of the Dark Knight - I am stained by it's darkness. My... heart is... The 4th fantasy -- Now, the truth can be revealed. Rosa: Cecil of the Red Wings would never give up like this. The Cecil I love...
