I was going to get FF11 for my PC, but that would require a major upgrade. Now that its out on PS2, I think I'll buy it for that. Of course I'm going to wait for EGM to review it in case its really bad or bugy.

I didn't know it was already out for the PC. Oh well. The major question is: Izzit worth it? Edit Uh...I wasn't being rhetorical by the way. I really wanna know if it's worth it since I'm seriously considering buying it. Also, might anyone know what the monthly cost is?

If I buy FFXi 4 PS2 I won't have to get a good graphics card. It is one helluva investment though.

Seems like a good game to me. Getting into an online game seems too much of an undertaking at this point. If I wasn't in college then I'd go right out and buy a copy for the PS2... oh well. I wonder what an online RPG is like 5 or 6 years after release. Will it be too hard to find allies? Apparently a lot of us have nothing against buying a 10 year old game and playing it for the first time. Do you online players think that's possible for FF11?

Also, might anyone know what the monthly cost is? I believe the monthy cost is somewhere in the range of $10/month, though that's just an estimate. I've heard people say that the game is addictive, and I imagine it's a great game, so long as you can afford the continual price tag.
