Quote Even with the addition of the trigger button, I think the N64 controller is still going to be my favorite to use with First Person Shooters (besides a keyboard and mouse) though. The N64 controller just feels right for them. -SSJ_Cloud Yeah, you could play Goldeneye 007 on N64 with one player for two controllers, one for moving, one for aiming and shooting. Pretty cool ![]() Concerning the topic, I don't know what they would improve in shock controller design. The most realistic (environment-wise) game I've ever played was Arctic Thunder in an arcade. It blew wind in your face and the whole seat rumbled. 'Course, you probably couldn't make a playstation controller do 'dat ![]()

Sure thing, the Playstation controllers are fine, so they're best off not changing much. Personally, I like my controllers a little bigger like the old Sega Genesis ones were. The Sony controllers are too small and the parts of the D-pad are too skimpy, but these faults aren't too extreme, so I don't complain more than a tad. Instead I buy a Street Fighter style 6 button controller ![]() On the other hand, I feel the Gamecube and Xbox controllers are too big and clunky and just plain silly. Good thing I don't have those systems.

So far, GameCube controllers > *. Their outward-curving frames make for a much more comfortable gaming device than any other out there. In my opinion, if they're gonna use triggers at all, they should design it so that all of the L and R buttons are triggers. I prefer not having to keep the upper part of my hand poised over the shoulder buttons at all times, it's very uncomfortable, especially with fighting games. Sega and Nintendo had the right idea with the DC and 64 (even though it only had one), respectively. Shoulder buttons shoul dbe abandoned and replaced with corresponding triggers. Yes.
