Maybe the innovative controller design of the Revolution will prompt SquEnix to produce a Dragon Quest IX, instead of simply revamping DQ8. For example, the game could vary damage based on slightly more interactive (but possibly cheesy, on the other hand) features like how one would swing the controller. Interestingly, when I saw the partial title of this thread ("Dragon Quest Bound For Nint..."), I thought it would say "...Ninth Installment".

I personally don't think a couple vague comments and and "TBA" justify that it could be headed for the Revolution. But I guess anything's possible.

Quote (Phunbaba) I personally don't think a couple vague comments and and "TBA" justify that it could be headed for the Revolution. To be honest, neither do I, which is why I chose to put the header in the form of a question. I came across two other websites just a while ago with a similar bit of news info up and they both appeared convinced that Horii's positive feelings toward the Revolution's controller meant he'd bring the series to the system, one hundred percent. On the other hand, there's no doubt the thing's got him enthused. 'Cause of his attitude I think there's a good chance he may produce something for the Revolution, even if it's not a Dragon Quest game - port or otherwise. But ya never know; like I said before, there's possibly some potential in a physical movement controlled Dragon Quest title, or in any other traditional RPG for that matter. Battling, for starters, would likely work in some way along the lines of what GMH explained. We'll just have to see...
