Quote In addition to Tales of Innocence, there was an announcement for a director's cut of the PS2 remake of Tales of Destiny, which began life as the second game in the Tales series and the first on the Playstation. We don't know what new features will be present in this re-release of a remake, and it's hard to say when we will; the game has an unspecified 2008 release date in Japan. They'd better give it to us this time. >_> Hopefully they'll release ToR in English too with this port. More Tales. ![]()

Quote (laszlow @ 20th July 2007 11:09) Lastly, Namco Bandai announced a sequel is a sure to excite many Tales fans: Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk for the Nintendo Wii. It is set to take place two years after the events of Tales of Symphonia with in the same world, but starring two new main characters. It is unknown what roles the original cast of Tales of Symphonia will play, but it is safe to assume that they won't be completely absent from the game. In The Words of the Starcraft II preview"Hell, its about time." A ToS sequel is what im really looking forward to, now i gotta get a Wii!

A little more Knight of Ratatosk stuff: The two new main characters, named Emil and Malta The seven returning characters Possible spoilers: highlight to view (it looks like the "real" story has Kratos dying instead of Zelos)

Quote (BanjoTheClown @ 28th July 2007 16:52) So every other Character is Returning except Kratos? Crap on a Stick. ![]() Possible spoilers: highlight to view Well, isn't Kratos rocketing away on the old elven World of Karhlan or however it's spelled? Or did I miss some ending involving his demise? Anywho, I just beat Tales of Symphonia today, so I'm quite excited by the news. I really think it would be cool to have it have online play, though I'm not sure if that would work with it being an RPG. I hear the first one is 10x more fun with a friend or two or three.

Quote (Barrylocke @ 3rd August 2007 02:52) Possible spoilers: highlight to view Well, isn't Kratos rocketing away on the old elven World of Karhlan or however it's spelled? Or did I miss some ending involving his demise? Well, no. I was a little misleading. Possible spoilers: highlight to view The preview video has no Kratos, but does have Zelos. This suggests that the "correct" story path is the one where Kratos never permanently rejoins the party and your party doesn't have to kill Zelos. Kratos isn't dead, he just ascended to Derris-Kharlan.

Tales of Symphonia? Bah to non sprite-based Tales games. If it weren't Wii, I wouldn't spare it a second glance. Tales of Destiny remake rerelease with new scenario for Leon the pink-caped wonder boy? Now that's news. Leon = ![]()
