Quote (fatman @ 23rd December 2014 07:13) Eating and sleeping are important parts of the game? The eating part could be interesting, that was always entertaining in Metal Gear Solid 3. Show me the food! ![]() I thought this was one of the most interesting bits of information in the whole batch. I can see how it could turn out to be a bit on the clunky side - need to tend to the more trivial aspects of keeping characters alive - but I do think it will add a neat touch of realism, especially given that the game will operate on a fixed time-progression scale. I'm excited to see true time-of-day changes and maybe even seasonal fluctuations. All this is, admittedly, icing on the cake. But for a game that was originally touted as "a fantasy based on reality," I think these touches - including a realistic scale of distance - could make a huge difference for the overall world, which is after all one of the major categories by which we judge RPGs. Also, wow, reading over this post again I realize that this is probably the most substantial news release FFXV (or Versus XIII) has ever had. With the swap-in of Tabata, it seems like there's a bit more fire in the development process. | |
