The PSP version will blow away the GBA version, if it'll be like the PS1 version. (Which, apparently, was awesome.) (ToP.) Yay! Tales! Nothing like more Tales.

To be honest, this news is a bit of a letdown. I remember reading last week on RPGFan that there was going to be a big Tales announcement this week, and I was expecting something on the order of a next-gen game, not three remakes and a lame spinoff. The fact that it is unlikely any of these games to leave the Pacific also doesn't help my lack of enthusiasm. What Tales fans should really be looking forward to are Tales of the Abyss and Tales of the Tempest (both confirmed for English releases later this year). Tales of the Abyss uses a much-improved version of Symphonia's plane motion system and Tales of the Tempest is looking great. I'm excited.

When did Bandai and Namco have a merger?

They're trying as hard as they can to make people want to buy the PSP.

I still can't decide whether Symphonia or Eternia is my second-favorite in the series, behind Tales of Phantasia.... But in any case, there is a DS Tales game coming out soon, Tales of the Tempest. It was released in Japan a month or two ago, and is supposed to be released at the same time as Tales of the Abyss later this year. Word on the street is that Tales of the Abyss completely outshines Symphonia on the gameplay front.

Yay, more Tales. Phantastic. ahem. On a vaguely related note, I can't stop thinking Tales of Eternia has something to do with He-man ![]()
