Possible spoilers: highlight to view I'm trying to stop smoking, day 3, so this might sound a bit hormonal. The source link is weiiiiiiird. It's says something like "thank you for kindly supporting our electronic stuff from the beginning". What's all that about? Do people buy these things out of their kindness and respect for Nintendo, not for a good games console? Surely not. And this 'Ambassador Programme'. Seriously? Ambassador... that makes my skin crawl a little. It's just such a transparent spin on the situation. They're not even trying anymore. How do they make people who've bought the console early feel positive about their purchase? Bring them into the fold, say they're important to Nintendo's success (why should anyone care), and appreciate the dedicated fans even if the truest appreciation would be to just return the wasted money they admitted overcharging. Sorry for swearing two posts in a row, but f**k Nintendo's PR machine. I don't have any brand loyalty in gaming, similarly I don't usually have any particular dislike for any brands, but** after reading the article this particular instance is an exception because it's so insidious and revolting. It pains me a little to think that people will lap this up. This is another good example of why Nintendo is unique in its fans and critics. **"I'm not racist, but..."

Seems stupid that they won't offer these same games to newer customers. That said, I do think that they rolled out the 3DS rather early...then again my perspective may be skewed by the fact that I'm just barely discovering the DS repertoire currently. By the way, I thought the Virtual Console was a Wii offering. Is there a 3DS Virtual Console feature as well? Looks like it.

Is this Schadenfreude month or something? First there's the NotW/News International scandal, then Amy Winehouse, and now Nintendo going to panic stations because their overpriced bit of tat of questionable use isn't selling well? Maybe if they had some games on it that weren't just updated versions of N64 games or regular DS games. But the sheer pretentiousness of this brick-excreting exercise is making the Nintendo-Apple analogy grow more and more apt. This is just laughable, and I honestly hope it fails. The price drop might help a little but right now I'd say $170 still is too much given there's no other incentives to buy.

It's on the 3DS for GB, GBC, and GBA games. It was announced sometime last year when the first few waves of 3DS news were happening.

Apart from the Amy Winehouse part that's a little too morbid.
