Square has shipped 1.8 million copies to japanese retail stores.
Over 200 fans were waiting outside of Shibuya Tsutaya's ( A retail store in Tokyo ) at 7 a. m. to get their copies.

Square's President Mr. Wada Youichi, Enix's president Keiji Honda and Koda Kumi, the singer of the main theme, were on hand to greet the assembled fans.

Geesh, I wonder how fast this game will sell out it's first shipment.

I wonder if I could get my hands on an import soon.

I hope it turns out to be a pretty good game, because regardless of how silly some of the characters seem, I'm really looking forward to it.  I actually like how Yuna looks now, because some of the art released recently is damn good.

hmm. STILL no UK release confirmed? hopefully, they might release it in less than a year after every other country gets it this time!

EDIT:recently heard a calim its a summer release date in the UK, but i think my freind was mixed up with the US Release date. Early estimates from 'an idependent panel' (me, an RPG-playing freind, a person who played 7 and 8, and someone who got stuck on ifrit in say next january.

I hope this direct sequel top FFX will have as good a story line as FFX and have a lot more freedom than FFX( A world map maybe???)
