The same guy who runs the Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta is running a Chrono Trigger Holiday Challenge. Similar to the FJF, you get assigned characters to play.
Anyone going to take part? I'm thinking of it! -------------------- Watch me play games on Twitch! Schedule: Mondays: Final Fantasy XIV Saturdays: Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Side Quests & Shenanigans |

Is this like a charity thing? Do you film yourself playing the game or something?

The Four Job Fiesta is for charity. This looks to be just for fun, because I don't see any of the usual charity links on the page. You don't have to film yourself, though people do stream their progress. I have no way of streaming, myself. You just need to take a picture of your victory and tweet it to Gilgabot.

That sounds really cool. On the other thread, we talked about doing a trivia game. Maybe we should do something at CoN for charity.

I'm a little surprised this one isn't for charity, since that's a huge part of FJF. Maybe he's just testing the waters for this first run to see how people like it first. And I'd be thrilled to do a charity event of some type, but there are so many gaming charities now and we're so small that I wouldn't know where to begin to do anything useful. I think we did a good job of sponsoring this summer's TheSpeedGamers FF marathon, which is probably where we're better suited for that kind of thing. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Well, I registered! I got Chrono, Lucca and Ayla as my party. It'll be a few days before I can start playing (I'm trying to finish knitting a shawl by Friday) but I think I'm going to play the PSX version.

I started a PSX game last week, thinking it'd be easier to get photos of beating the game, but quickly abandoned it due to its obscene load times.
Started over on the DS version, and have played through the trial. Incidentally, it was the trial that first got me hooked on the game all those years ago. I was amazed that your actions in the game had future consequences. Thanks to CoN's walkthrough, all the jurors voted not guilty. -------------------- Watch me play games on Twitch!
