Am I right in saying that, for the majority of the game, the Sephiroth the party follow, face and fight is actually Jenova?
Here's the point, prior to the Nibelheim events, Sephiroth is a loyal SOLDIER. Forgetting ShinRa be baddies and such, he wasnt necessarily evil until he learnt that he was an experiment.... OK, here's the point. Im wanting to start a rehabilitation clinic for misunderstood game villains... Seriously though: question, seperate from Jenova could Sephiroth ever be redeemed? Hope I'm not commiting an FF Faux pas |

I voted yes. Why not. The Sephiroth we see in the flashbacks seems ok. He's just a bit of a warrior hero type, not a malevolent murderer. He'd have to learn to get on with humanity instead of trying to kill everyone and take over the world.

My theory is that the Nibelheim incident was similar to what Cloud went through, except thanks to Tifa, Aeris and everyone else Cloud 'survived' and didnt go insane. For that reason, if Sephiroth hadnt dissappeared up until the events of the game, he could have fought the will of the Jenova cells and kept his sanity?
