Hello board.
Just recently I've found myself playing FF6 again (couldn't see that coming...), and I've seen an option under Misc. called 'Game Keys'. Now, this is cool and all but we are faced with a dilemma (well, not you but I...anyhow). You can't do diagonals! AAAAARGH! It's there anyway to perform moves such as the AuraBolt, or Ryu's ShoRyuKen in Streetfighter? I can pre-program the Pummel, Suplex, Mantra and that other one, but the others involve diagonals so I haven't figured them out yet. Please, I really want to know so I can put this to bed. I'm not deliberately being lazy, I mean I can pull these moves as quickly as the next chappie, but think of how much stress would be taken out of the equation, plus the fact that the pad doesn't get quite as badly damaged. K, thanks for any (relevant) replies that may come, cya later. Regroovinator. -------------------- ------------------------------------------- Just done it - Niko. Where did I go today? - Microshaft. I'm no expert on ZSNES's combo configurator, but hopefully it should allow you to depress two keys at once... a diagonal should just be, say up+left together for that diagonal. And so on round the pad.
There is also a different way to do Sabin's blitzes, without using any diagonals. I don't remember the details exactly - perhaps someone else remembers this? |

Yes, you tap one of the directions used in the diagonal but not the other. For instance, to do a Bum Rush, you would normally press left, up-left, up, up-right, and so on. But you can also do it by pressing left, left, up, up, right, right, down, down, I believe.

Hello again.
I just came on to see if anyone posted a reply. Sweet. You guys gave me the kickstart I needed (though you don't realize it). I finally figured it out, so I'll share it with y'all. Cheers. Key: P&R (Press & Release) PO (Press Only) RO (Release Only) ?F (# of Frames inbetween next input) D, U, L, R (Down, Up, Left, Right respectively) A, B, X, Y, LB, RB (the SNES buttons)
0_0 MY Gooooooooooooood, that was longer than what I thought it would be...and now I have to check for errors . If anyone would like to road-test the above info, that'd be cool because I've only tested this up until 'Fire Dance', the 4th Blitz. K, cheers and I hope that this helps someone. Don't worry. I've done Sabin's blitzes hendreds of times just the way you have described them, without any problem. Hell, most of his blitzes are easier to pull off on the ZSNES than on the actual SNES.
