Does anyone know where I can find info on manipulating the random number generator for FFIV GBA? Or just could learn more about the RNG?

You might find Ben Siron's famous FF2 US guide to be useful.

I've always found it interesting how FFIV had much greater damage variance than did other games of the time (FFVI, CT). Also notable is the fact that the RNG seems to vary differently--if you've played FFIV (or at least FFII US) on an emulator (I used SNES9x), you might know that reloading state usually changes the result of the damage/healing calculation. This doesn't happen in FFVI or CT if you reload states in them.

Not what I was looking for unfortunately. I've started learining ASM, so when I get an understanding of it, I'll try picking apart the RNG.
