Just out of curiosity guys:you ever had a game you didn't like at all with characters you didn't like,but you really liked the music? I feel on this in some ways for ff7.

like ff6 benefit from mid evil music more than heavy metal,same as ff4.
But when ff7 uses heavy metal,it is extremely fitting.

The metal version sounds great,and i really like rock and roll and metal,so because i'm a fan of some heavy metal,its very fitting.

I prefer the crisis core version of fight on,but the advent children is better than the original for sure,and very fitting.

Also:encounter is my favorite version,and its so cool beating up enemies while listening to this song,because it is very fitting.

I prefer the crisis core version of owa over the original and the advent children version,and i like the advent children version more than the original,because the metal does fit in.

Not really, or should I say not so much. It is my personal belief that the OST for FF7 was spot on with application of rock/metal elements in its music. Since it was my second game of the series, the OST for FF6 sounded... off at times, but mainly due to having only played months FF7 before that.
In short, yes but there are very few games with characters that I genuinely hate but some I just absolutely lover their themes!
In example: Sabin. I feel sorry for saying this but I really don't care for the guy but I LOVE the peice Edgar & Sabin.
