| I did, back when I was like, 4 or 5. It wasn't my favorite for a long time, then it became such much later in the day. |

| Same here. My fourth RPG though. And my third-favorite mainline FF game...but I've only finished three of them anyway. |

| Yes. The first game with "Final Fantasy" in the title that I played was FF Mystic Quest, but that is not technically a canonically FF game. After I beat FFMQ for the first time when I was ten (after having played off and on very slowly for about four years), I tried Final Fantasy IV. I did not like it much; I could not get past Valvalis for anything. I tried VI and loved it, so after beating that, I decided to give IV another try. I still found it much more challenging than VI, but enjoyable. I got almost to the end-- I mean, seriously, I got to the chest with the Whistle-- when I got whooped by a Behemoth. When I picked up the game again a couple weeks later, the cartridge battery died. I decided to settle for an emulator ROM, and beat the game on that. So I generally say I have played the game through twice, but I have only technically beaten it once. |
