Caves of Narshe Forums > Errors and Troubleshooting > Fort Condor Battles Guide by Zephir

I am new here and have been using the Fort Condor Battle guide by Zephir. It has helped me greatly since I only fought 2 battles in any version not knowing there were more.

I do not know if the guide can be modified by Zephir or not but, I have found out that in his list of battles the one numbered 5 that he states you get nothing (jack) even though it says you get 5 potions is in error. You actually get 5 Hi-Potions from that battle.

Is it possible for someone to let Zephir know he can update the information for all users?

Thank you for pointing it out. I've got it fixed!

In that same list Battle Six also gives 5 Hi-Potions.

There's several more battles that aren't listed. Definitely FAQ bait, which is how I learned about them.

- After choosing your party at the Cosmo Candle but before finishing the Cave of the Gi: If the buggy broke down, this cannot be accessed so park a ways away and walk to Cosmo Canyon.
- After viewing the Tiny Bronco for the first time but before Cid joins the party: Yes this does entail trekking all the way to Fort Condor from Rocket town.
- After playing the Lunar Harp but before sleeping in the forgotten city
- After sleeping in the forgotten city but before finishing the disc

(3! Fort Condor battles between finishing Temple of the Ancients and finishing Disc 1; what were the developers thinking).

From obtaining the buggy onwards, prizes are based on battles completed. The glitchy message box awards 5 X-Potions. This occurs three times in the chain. If one manages to fight every Fort Condor battle, the last prizes in the chain are 3 Elixirs (can be won twice)

Yep, though maybe I could make that a little more clear.

So, it's been many, many years since I played Final Fantasy VII, I have to admit. But it seems like at least some of those are already reflected in our FAQ. In what FAQ did you see all of these?

I used Absolute Steve's on GameFAQs the last time I played through and encountered every one of them myself. Cross checked with boxer's before posting here. I checked the page here after seeing the topic and nope, not there. Very understandable considering how obscure these are.

I agree that these are very weird obscure times to decide to go back to fort condor for battles. Lol, "Cloud plays the Lunar Harp"
Cloud's like, "You know what that melody makes me think of? Fighting at Fort Condor"
Barret's like, "#$^$ Yeah!"
Goes to Fort Condor. Comes back, goes to the City of the Ancients, then sleeps.
Party wakes up. Cloud goes, "Man I had a dream about Fort Condor. Maybe we should go check...."
In any case. Thanks for mentioning that there are more fights than I knew about for that. If nothing else, I'll use this info when we get to VII in are FF off.
