Overall its got to be Matoya's cave (game and Black Mages versions). although the final boss theme is a close second for me, both songs are really good.

I've liked the final theme since I was a little kid facing Chaos for the first time. It just seemed so... epic. And that's no small task for a NES game!

Oh man, this is a good topic. biggrin.gif

Well, to tell you the truth, I like the "Prelude" in all the Final Fantasy games (the beginning song in the games, a.k.a "introduction"). It has always been my favorite, and I can't remember if it's in any Final Fantasy game past Final Fantasy VII. It might have been, but I can't remember. I have played all the games up till X-2; guess it's time do dust them off, and play them through again.

I enjoyed the castle theme, the town theme, the battle theme, world map, prologue, and the shop theme in FF1. Actually they were all pretty nice for a NES.

My favorite song is hands down the music that plays when you battle Chaos. It's so awesome!

I'm not sure if this is in the original, but in DoS, I liked the boss music for Lich and Kraken.

I always really enjoyed the standard battle music from FFI. Mainly because it was the first FF (obviously) I had ever played so I guess it's kind of stuck with me. Other than the battle theme I really can't say much of the music from it stuck with me except maybe the Prelude lol.

Fun game though, for sure. thumbup.gif

p.s. - I'm gonna have to check out this "Chaos" battle theme, sounds like it might be good.

^ Erm... strange post. One Winged Angel is a great piece of music but it is nothing to do with FFI. To be a member of CoN you gotta stick to the topic as the Admins wil tell you.

I enjoy thoroughly the very sombre music that plays when you're in the Ruined Castle where the Dark Elf lives. Also, the ever famous 'Prelude' that started it all, and finally, the town theme.

Also, the Black Mages rendition of Matoya's Cave is fantastic, and I enjoy it a good deal too.

I always liked the town theme, and Gurgu volcano theme. But my favorite is that one which sounds when you cross the bridge, (It's called prologue,I think..).

i liked the town theme the best, because it was so soothing, and laid back, which fit the mood for me, because my first priority when i got to a town was to find an inn and get some rest.

Gulug Volcano has always been one of my favorites! biggrin.gif I just love how.... um... Guluggy it sounds!!

Or something. Hehe.

FF1's battle music is also another one I really love. And cheers to the Black Mages for their rendition of it, too. Hehe. happy.gif

I agree about the chaos temple! What a great song... I actualy write a lot of cell phone ring tones, and the original prelude and Chaos temple always make it onto my phone

Either the flying fortress music or the temple of fiends revisited music. Or maybe that's because I love the parts of the game where you're walking around paranoid because your White Wizard got killed and you can't EXIT or LIFE anyone else that dies... unsure.gif
