this is kinda funny, a few days ago I was playing ff6 and I wanted to go fight master pug so I leveled up a bit cause I thought I was to weak . I thought it was gonna be a long and hard battle but when I fought him I somehow beat him in only two turns.

so can you guys guess what I did for those two turns?
(And no i didnt use gengi glove/offering trick)

here ill give you a hint. the first turn was a summon.

Hmmm...as a summon, possible Palidor.  That's four attacks right there.  After that, a regular attack would probably finish him off since he only has 22000 HP.

I was guessing odin or raiden, but he used two turns    
if that's not it, it can also be 4x ultima from gem box and quick.

How many black magic spells are there in the game?  It's kind of silly to have us name all of them.  Obviously, it probably would have had to hit harder than, say, Fire or Poison, but you say you didn't have the best magic, so it wouldn't have been Ultima or Merton either.  That narrows it down to, what, a dozen possibilities?

i don't know why people like flare so much.  Me, I've never used it more than 3 times. ever.  It's weaker than Fire3, it costs less than Fire3, and you get it much later in the game.  To me it was like the Game Gods said "here y'go, son!  Have another spell!  Good luck finding a use for it!"  I understand it's supposed to be the FF6 equivalent of Nuke, but if so then why does it suck so?  JUst thought I'd shoot that out.  That and the first time I used Merton, Terra killed all the enemies.  As well as all the heroes.  Cool animation, though.

There's one major reason why you're wrong: Flare is NOT a fire spell.  It's neutral.  That's right, there is no way to absorb the damage from flare.  Go ahead, try it, put a fire shield on one of your guys, and cast flare on him.  Also, I almost always have Bahamut before Phoenix or Tritoch, and Flare learns at x2, as opposed to all of Tritoch being x1.

Oh, and Merton is very useful, provided all your characters absorb fire.  Damage the enemies and heal your party.  Yay.

Anyway, I'll guess Bio for the second spell.

Am I sure about what?  If you're asking if I'm sure that Flare's not a fire-element spell, then I am about as sure about it as I can be.  Try casting it on someone with an ice shield to see if it does double damage...  I dunno about that one, I only know that fire absorb doesn't absorb it.
