What hand do you equip if you were Bartz?

I equip left hand if i were Bartz, because i'm left-handed, but if i weren't Bartz, then i'll equip him right hand.

I usually equip right handed, mostly because there are many games that acutally force you to equip weapon on right and shield on left. I would be kind of cool if strength was independant on each arm and could grow based on usage, then people could brag about how much stronger their character is when lefty equipped.

I always just use the right hand. I never really think about it much, only at some instances, but I guess you could just say the characters are ambidextrous.
And lei, in II there's something like that, except every character is naturally right or left handed. -------------------- FFIVDS looks awesome, right? Especially the character scans. I mean, look at that CGI scan of Yang. You see it and you just think...badass. And then you look at his polka-dot pants, likely stolen from a Dr. Seuss book. And then you just...shiver. |

ffII was just an oddball game, it didn't really fit in with the other games so much... at least it was unique with an original story of an emipre trying to rule the world, main characters are rebels, one of them betrays main characters for a time to work for empire, and person from empire betraying empire, we have never heard that before (as a matter of fact, we haven't. ffvi was more of a copy of ffii than vice-versa) I'd just have bartz weild two weopons or two shields. all depends on job.

Doesn't really matter at all, but I use right handed since weapons should always come before shields. Except the only two games that comes from memory that has characters with a primal hand or both, are FFII and FFIV.

If I were Bartz, I would probably equip with my right hand. Maybe I would try my left hand to try something new... but I don't know how good I would be. In the game I normally equip him with the right hand because it's at the top of the list.

Not sure, if there was a power bonus for right then right handed, otherwse left lol left is my lucky hand xD

I use the right, only because it's the easiest one to equip to. Weapons show up at the top, and right handed is at the top.

Well, that's your perogative. But does it really matter? Butz, Lenna, Galuf, Cara and Sarisa are ambidexterous and tend to equip their right hands with weapons and their left hands with shields unless they think about it. Or use both. I just let them get on with it myself, as I'm sure they wouldn't give a fig about my opinion, in fact I'm sure they'd tell me where to go.
I'm right-handed, if you're interested. I understand that left-handed people tend to be more creative - Leonardo da Vinci, I believe, was left-handed - so I say go for it. Just be aware the game doesn't care one way or the other. |

If I understand the question correctly, I put the weapon in the Right hand when I play FFV.
It puts the weapon on the top row, putting the equipment list in an order that looks more natural, by grouping all pieces of armor together. Also, a character's weapon gets switched out more often than any other piece of equipment, so having the weapon on the top row is most convenient. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

well I picked lefty, since i did it to Bartz in my first game, I usually go out of my way to have the sassy pirate be a lefty, since I'm a lefty, and she's my favorite character.
