I mostly write fantasy stories, but a while ago I got bored with that for a while and started writing some rather nonsensical things.  Here are a couple samples ... any comments?  ''

~*~

The cat pranced about the clouds, slurping up stray fragments of green fire hydrants floating about.  Barking piteously, she burst into song, singing of the moon smiling alone.  Spiraling down to the core of the earth, she promptly extinguished a purplish sprout, which was evidently quite sick judging by the three slices of bacon perching atop it with necks resembling petite vultures.  She then took a running leap and landed somewhere in Laos, where she ate a lonely goblin corpse sitting all by itself.  Yes, she decided as she licked her whiskers, they tasted better fresh than the stale ones served at Denny's.  With that, she curled up and fell to sleep, whereupon she dreamed of prancing about the clouds, slurping up stray fragments of green fire hydrants floating about ...

~*~

I once bought a mad speaker for 15.99 at Best Buy.  It was foaming at the mouth and was exploding its toe like you wouldn't believe, all over my bathroom floor.  I tried to get a hold of it to scold it, but it scampered away from me and blew fire breath out the window, extinguishing a snake that happened to be flying by.  I always knew speakers should use mouthwash!  It should be a requirement of all speakers!  Otherwise they get bad breath and extinguish poor innocent snakes flying by the window.  Anyhow, upon doing this, the speaker leapt up onto the podium and started doing the hokey pokey, while waving its antennae wildly in the blue soap dish.  Then it started eating a lemon popsicle, and it was so sour the speaker dashed out of the room, with earsplitting mutters.  I never did see that speaker again.  I expect it's in a zoo somewhere in Argentina.  It would serve it right after all the trouble it caused.

That is without a...well...sane mind, but it's also without a doubt, the most refreshing set of fiction I've read since I finished my last Douglas Adam's novel.  This folks is what I'm talking 'bout!  Imagination at it's purest...no rhyme...no reason...not a goddamned clue.  Whoever, whenever, for whatever reason because it's infinite baby yeah!

Best served when read aloud cause you smile more as you read more.

Hehe, thanks very much!  ':D'   This isn't normally the type of thing I write, but they're sure a riot to make up.

Haha, that's like something I'd write. About dinosaurs playing parcheesi against phsychotic midgets eating nachos and buterscotch ice cream. But I'm not a very good writer... Nice detail, and very refreshing, as NP said. Different, that's for sure.

Very entertaining!

For me, it seems a bit reminiscent of the poetry written by Lewis Carrol, except without the obvious references to opium.  ;)
