Right now I own Final Fantasy VII digitally and otherwise on whatever phone or console it has been released on. Final Fantasy VII isn’t my favorite in the series but due to brand loyalty yeah I tend to rebuy games.
I realized that I have bought Skyrim on the 360, PS3 twice (My first copy was stolen), PS4, Switch and PC. You know a game is great when you unknowingly just keep buying new copies of old games. -------------------- His Divine Shadow |

I've bought Tactics twice on PSX, once on PSP, and once on iOS. Different versions of Final Fantasy IV for SNES, PSX, and PSP. FF9 a couple times as well now. I don't tend to buy many games more than once because I don't necessarily consider it a sign of loyalty for the most part; I just buy them again because I want to play them again or because they've added something new that I want to try.

FFI - PSX & GBA
FFII - PSX & GBA FFIII - DS FFIV - PSX, GBA, DS FFV - PSX & GBA FFVI - PSX & GBA FFVII - PSX FFVIII - PSX, two copies (one still in shrinkwrap). Oh, and PSP FFIX - PSX FFX - PS2 FFX-2 - PS2 FFXI - Xbox 360 FXII - PS2 FFXIII - Xbox 360 FFXIII-2 - XBOX 360 Lightning Returns - Xbox 360 FFXIV - no copies yet FFXV - PS4 When I was younger I was a bit of a collector, hence owning the early games on multiple platforms. I lack money to do that now, but I think even if I had money now I likely wouldn't buy the games again unless I needed to (my GBA cart of Dawn of Souls is corrupt and won't save, so I'll likely pick up another copy of FFI & II in the future.) The one game I regret not owning is Tactics. I've played Tactics Advance and parts of A2, but not the original Tactics. I've heard such great things about that game. I keep looking for it on the Amazon appstore but it has yet to appear (my only mobile device currently is a Kindle Fire.) -------------------- Watch me play games on Twitch! Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays: Final Fantasy VII -Rebirth- Saturdays: Final Fantasy XIV Side Quests (or maybe more Rebirth, we'll see!) 7:30pm - 10:30pm Central or thereabouts |

I've never bought FF7 -- the copy I played, up until the point where it crashed unavoidably, was a copy of the PC version my friend lent me years ago.
The only games I've multi-bought are: * multiple copies of some PC games, as gifts rather than for myself * some of the Ys and Legend of Heroes games on GOG and Steam. In the long run I want to wean myself off Steam, and developer/publisher Nihon Falcom is really good about supporting DRM-free gaming. (unlike Squenix *grumble*) -------------------- current games (2024-02-19): Fairy Fencer F ADF Pokémon Perfect Crystal finished so far this year: Gato Roboto drowning, drowning New Super Mario Bros. I've bought three copies of Heroes of Might and Magic III: the original cd release, the complete version (original + expansions) cd release, and a digital copy of that on GoG.
Additionally, I've got'n the physical copies of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II and their expansions, as well as their digital copies on GoG. -------------------- |

Come to think of it, I actually do have both the NES and SNES (All-Stars) versions of Super Mario Bros. 1 and Super Mario Bros. 3.
