Hello. I have a music project called Dynamic Threads.

I finally uploaded a video of me playing an original composition of mine called Isolated Pigeons In Abandoned Grain Mills.

The quality isn't the greatest, but I am all about the Lo-Fi sound anyway. In fact, I call my music "Lo-Fi Blasphemy" partly because I constantly reference both the sound I am making, and the music industry I loathe. A music industry that is akin to a religion, where an up and coming musician has to constantly kiss ass, praise the Beatles (god I wish Paul McCartney and Ringo Star would die already...The wrong 2 Beatles are still alive and won't fucking shut-up about it) and other "deities" of the industry and basically have to conform to a sound, a structure of Pop that has ruled the mainstream since the start of the 20th century.

I love a good pop song, don't get me wrong, but mainstream music, that focuses too much on MELODY and not enough on RHYTHM is terribly boring and has been a standard for going on over 100 years. And now I somehow appreciate that Cure song a little more...hmm...

Anyway. Here is the video. Following is a link to my other stuff.

Isolated Pigeons In Abandoned Grain Mills

Full Blown Idiot On Cruise Control (2012 Demo)

Blah, Blah, Modern Non-Sense (Fall 2010 Demo)

[illustration omitted] and Tripping the Light Fantastic (Winter 2009/2010 Demo)

PERSONAL SUGGESTIONS:

Radiated Sound Vibrations: My first recording, June 2009. I actually recorded it on my birthday, the 22nd. I composed this on a Magic Genie organ I bought from a Salvation Army. Some of the keys didn't work and the electronics were all mucked up, so I made due with what I had and came up with this.

Defined In the Present: A song I am extremely happy with, despite a few volume spikes in the recording and a difficulty with recording the vocals/finding a proper decibel level within a limited time-frame to record.

(soft musical): I really liked Radiohead back in the day, lol. But this was a song that became a beast and changed a lot as I recorded it. One of my better compositions. The throat clears are supposed to be there, and are an actual lyric in the song.

New Support For the Brackish: Oh man, this one makes me happy. Slightly manic but a song that surprisingly went through very few changes as I recorded it, and very few changes since it had been written. I added all sorts of backing tracks, leads and an fade-out solo at the end as I recorded it. Fun fact, I originally called it New Support For the Backlash, but a friend misreading my handwriting, called it New Support for the BRACKISH and we thought it was hilarious, so I changed it.

Progressing Through Repetition: A song that has been described to me as sounding tired, perhaps it does. But it is a reflection of where I was mentally, emotionally and physically as I was recording during the winter of 2009/2010. This song was recorded during the 4th or 5th month between November and May that winter and one of the last ones I finished writing and recording. Overall, I spent about a month on each song and wish they were more polished but they represent a lot, to me.

A New Take On the Spin of Things: The last song I really spent time recording and the last song I wrote during my marathon session that winter. Definitely a more light-hearted song compared to the rest. Recorded as a single live take.

As I already stated, I'm big on the lo-fi sound. I also haven't recorded anything in almost 4 years but I have 15 or so songs I've been working on. Don't have the time/space/money.

Anyway. They mostly sound how I wanted them to. I'd change some things here or there if I could, but overall I am extremely happy with the songs, give or take a few. I actually like several of them more now than I did then, and I think they are aging extremely well. I labored over them, and still do. Especially illustration omitted/Tripping the Light Fantastic. I want people to listen.

Thank you if you do.

Also, can I not embed youtube on these forums? Is is teh cofused.
