Story:I actually quite like the story and how humanity is finally accepted into a sort of galactic federation.Sort of reminds me of Star Trek and dealing with alien politics which I really like.I was especially impressed doing all the side quests on the citadel.I like how in the story humans are made to be aggressive and hasty as we are.We the players also see the self centered side of humans from the characters too.I think it's also realistic thing to expect that more advanced and older races would see some of the human traits as something we humans would have to grow out of.Heck I can even understand palin that guy in charge in the embassy of specters.Humans seen by some aliens seek favoritism and rush in to make ourselves look good. How willing are we as humans to put our lives on. The line to save alien races who could end up going extinct over our own personal interest in our race?

Characters:There are a lot of interesting characters:

I didn't really try to romance liara and I could have bias, so I won't go there. It seems like she is kind of corny and purposefully shy and it's like the game is forcing her on us players. Its like the game is saying:Yes get laid with liara, as we find her blue body hot.
There is a serious lack of choices of romance.

Boy Shepard:

Liara
Ashley Williams

Girl:I don't know, but I know Garrus is one of them.

I'm actually saddened you can't romance wrex as a female Shepard since I really like the guy.Having the guy around and talking to him, even if wrex is a Krogan, he's real cool.Im really disappointed I couldn't romance talizora.I must have misunderstood or something because it's not possible.

Side missions:I actually do like rover, but I think back to back this game has little replayability and not much to explore. The only reason to try and beat this game again is to have the minor changes on me2, and I'm not sure if it's worth it yet.

Leveling system:It's far too easy to just max everything out including charisma to charm your way to max paragon. There is no thought process in this and every character ends up the same.

Items:The items are a real mess, because every time you kill something you get an item and if it's an upgrade and you have no room, you end up turning that item into gel.Scrolling through all your items also takes forever too and there is no storage system for items, and if get are real bad, you throw them away anyways.

Combat:

On the PS3 and 360 you press select to throw a grenade.Grenades are also an upgrade you can get.It seems so easy to accidentally press select and throw a grenade out of bad habit using up your grenades. There are all sorts of grenades:Cryo grenades to freeze enemies and make their accuracy go down, flame grenades to burn them and make them take damage over time.Explosive etc etc.

Bullets:There is unlimited ammo for your gun, and the ammo you find is merely a equipment item you find to give elements to your ammo to add spice, which. Miss in me2.Actually:I don't know why they took it out in me2.There are many types of ammo just like grenades, maybe more actually:Ammo which adds force to your damage, ammo for synthetic creatures, ammo for organic creatures, cryo ammo which lowers enemies accuracy.Fire ammo which does Fire dmg, toxic ammo, radiation ammo, shield penetration ammo etc etc.I just really missed this part as it made you think:Ok I'm fighting a lot of synthetics so I better equip this, or should I use shield penetrating ammo?

Controls:

Left bumper ducks, and if you hide behind something with your gun, you can be ducked and covered by a low rock.If you have your gun out and your behind a wall you can cover and shoot. You seem to only be able to run if you have an enemy encounter, and press a on 360/x on PS3.You can do melee attacks by pressing square PS3 x on 360 when you are right next to your enemy.L1 PS3 brings up guns wheel and R1 brings up powers wheels for your whole party and select throws a grenade.

I feel like the controls on me2 feel a little better somehow or maybe I am just used to me2 now.L1 to aim and R1 to shoot feels better. If there is anything I can add to this review mention it to me and il look it up.

Save that pic it's hilarious.

I have seen some hilarious ones used in oblivion too like diseased fish face.

I think that you'll like Tali's romance in ME2. Tali's romance is one of the best options in the entire series for the male Shepard.

I would also say that Liara probably goes through the biggest change of all the main characters.

I am almost done with my second play through of this game and restarting me2.This might be the last time I play me 1, as I did everything. Its not as packed with replayability as dao.

Narratorway good review. Some of what you said strikes very strong with me.Me1 lacks the content that oblivion had in terms of quest and while it was fun the first time, it comes out the same second time, unless you play an evil character who is a female and even then, the changes are so minor that it's not worth replaying. You essentially do the same quests and choices with such minute variation that it doesn't feel like you are doing anything different and your abilities level up the same.

On a final note don't buy games on PS3, cause the download service sucks and requires you to download a code you need to either buy or use dlc for multiplayer for mass effect 3 grrr.I can't play me 3 multiplayer.

I just fixed the problem I had to create a American account and pretend to live in America so I can download the dlc.For some reason EA needs to think I live in the us.Thing is:My copy is American because I know for a fact that some games in Spain are only available in one language since they are too lazy to read and have to dub.Il give you an example of what dubbing sounds like

why dubbing sucks
Fire emblem radiant dawn spanish dub

As you can see in this lord of the rings scenario:Taking a really good actor and dubbing him is dangerous.Much is lost and the wording is likely changed since languages don't all work the same.Spanish tend to over emote and for that reason it sounds like bad Mexican soap opera. For this reason I do not want to hear it.

We used to have limited technology in the past, but now we have blue ray with more room for languages. If you can have that option on lost odyssey, then why not every game? Lost odyssey did it right.I know for a fact that Diablo 3 is one of those that in foreign countries, especially Spain, it's one language selection only:Spanish dubbing. There are a lot of games like that, so people like me have to buy games in other countries, meaning I have to deal with stupidities like having to create multiple accounts to play one game the way I want to because I can't find that one game without either pirating or buying it on amazon. This also means less buying too.Even my mother agrees it's a pain in the ass in the past when I talked about how frustrating it was.

Actually, Garrus only becomes a romance option in Mass Effect 3. FemShep can only date Kaiden or Liara in Mass Effect 1. The romance options are better in 2 and best in 3.

He's available in Mass Effect 2. There's actually a lot of choice for either gender in that game.

I just created a few Shepard in me2 to romance Garrus.I can't wait to hear mordins witty remarks on romancing with Garrus, or advice.
