Corridors of Time looked pretty untouchable during the early rounds, without any huge blowouts but also without tight matches until the last round, when it was knocked off in a low-turnout match against Liberi Fatali. Trisection did have a couple big blowouts, though, but also a couple very close matches, ending last round with a similar low-turnout defeat to Balance is Restored, the FF6 ending theme.

Corridors of Time is the overworld theme for the Kingdom of Zeal, and it brings a soothing melody and beat to the environment to match the idyllic setting in which Crono and crew find themselves upon arrival. Understandably, it shares some characteristics with Schala's Theme, another entry in these brackets which lost out a while back.

If you want a game's soundtrack that is mainly about war, Final Fantasy Tactics is where you go. As one of the many themes that play over the top of individual battles in the game, you're introduced to Trisection as soon as the swords come out, and it immediately sets the tone.

I find Trisection to be a stronger and much more fulfilling track representing high drama. Corridors of time does have an occasional aura of exoticness but lacks a representation of paradise-that-cannot-last aside from via paradise-via-exoticness.

My vote goes to Trisection again.

Corridors of Time is one of the most unique and interesting tracks that has been in this tournament. And it represents perhaps the most unique part of one of the most unique games in history.
