I recently watched a video by Gaming Historian where he talked about the NES game "Little Samson", and there is one point in that video where he claims that this game makes up for the fact that passwords take away all your powerups by sending you to an easy stage that contains lots of powerups before you are taken to the real stages each time that you enter a password.
However, I don't seem to get anything like that; I always seem to get sent right to the ordinary stages right away, so what is happening here? The reason why I say that I seem to get sent to the ordinary stage is because I have only beaten this game once, a few years ago, so I cannot tell exactly if I get sent to the ordinary stages; but it definitely seems like that, since they are usually fairly challenging and don't really contain any noticeable extra amount of powerups. I played this game a long time ago so I don't remember.
