Excalibur or Masamune?

It seems like a weird question given the obvious choice is Masamune. Except that isn't the whole question.
My party consists of a Knight, Master, Black Wizard and a White Wizard. Obviously the Master shouldn't use it. The 2 wizards can easily just use fade and nuke so it's pointless to give it to them. Obviously I should give the Masamune to my knight right? Well see after going through the trouble of getting some adamantite to use the Excalibur and the Masamune is better. I figured I would give the Masamune to my white wizard because they have less attack magic but I haven't really used my main attack after getting fade. (Mind you I have a fair bit of spell points for level 8) So thoughts? -------------------- If god is all-forgiving then why do we have to kill people in his name? |

I'd give the Masamune to the white wizard, since you'll need as much total damage the party can deal as you can get and the WW will use up his spells to heal the party rather than blast the enemies.

Since it sounds like you are playing the original NES version, I suggest giving it to your White Wizard. As SilverMaduin said, you will need every ounce of damage you can get against Chaos, and when your White Wizard is not healing you can use the Masamune to conserve MP for precious Lif2 spells.

I'm all for the conservation of spells, but the WW isn't going to do any damage it. You're better off just having your Knight do more damage.
You can always use item powers instead of the FIGHT command with the WW anyway. |
