I liked Luna, because when the Sprite used the wierd magic option (I think it was moon magic or Luna magic or something like that) you never knew WHAT was going to happen.

salamando all the way i could combo explosion with him, which made boss fights way easier. My explosion was lv 8 soon after i got it

It was tough to choose between Luna, Shade, and Gnome for me. Luna was awesome for both characters, because Moon Energy from the girl gave you a crazy critical hit rate, and Magic Absorb from the sprite let you save your Faerie Walnuts for the Sprite. Then I thought about Shade and how helpful Dispel Magic and Dark Force were...but Evil Gate was just useless. But it all came back to Gnome, who to me seems like the perfect element. Gem Missile is a sweet spell, and Earth Slide is even more powerful. Speed Down, while it wasn't all that useful in combat, only cost 1 MP, making Gnome really easy to level up. That's why Gnome is my favorite.

Salamando was just cool - I mean, the dude heats up a whole town by sitting in a stove - it don't get much better than that. I kinda like Lumina too because Lucent Beam and Lucid Barrier OWN.
