Okay, I was sitting here eating a Fun Dip. For anyone who doesn't recognise this name, it's a kind of candy where you lick this sugary stick thing and use it to scoop out a flavored powder from these little pockets. Anyhow. I'm the sort of person who reads ingredients lists, and let me tell you. NOTHING on the Fun Dip ingredients list even resembled a form of food. However, that didn't prevent me from thouroughly enjoying my packet of artificialy flavored chemicals.
So my question is, what's your favorate kind of food that's not really food? -------------------- TURKEY! - (The only way not to get blocked for using Fowl Language) |

I dont want to speak for him but I think he meant the candy, Pop Rocks. The ones that crackle and whatnot.

Papa John's Garlic Sauce.
Man, I LOVE that stuff. Got a bland plate of rice and veggies? Dump some on, and you've got a great-tasting plate of rice and veggies! Got bread and lack butter or jam? Dip it in! Works with croissants too! Can also substitute for gravy in some cases. And it makes it actually fun to eat the crust rim of pizza. -------------------- current games (2024-02-19): Fairy Fencer F ADF Pokémon Perfect Crystal finished so far this year: Gato Roboto drowning, drowning New Super Mario Bros. I know that it doesn't even count as food, but I became unbeleivabely addictive Juicyfruit (original) back in the days. I had such a hard time to stop, I was taking 2-3 12 gums packs per day! And that's only when I started so I had to end it soon.
Beside that, I LOVE Sunchips... how the hell they taste so good? -------------------- Sayonara |

Pop Ice popsicles. I eat about 10 a day. What sucks is that I don't really like green or pink, and it always seems like the entire box is green and pink more than anything else.

Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 6th August 2006 07:28) Papa John's Garlic Sauce. Oh, I think I felt my tummy turning, reading thru GlennMagusHarvey's post, but it's the best nonfood example I've ever seen. Ew, but impressive. For me, it would have to be pure honey. Little jar of that and a coffee-stirrer, and I have a sugar buzz waiting on my desk for emergency MP recovery. Seriously, though, adding the garlic sauce to anything? That tops memories even from my lost college daze. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

Pork scratchings. 50+% fat, and is currently the only food (or food-that-should-be-food-but-really-isn't) I've seen with an ingredients list but no nutritional informaiton. Darn tasty though.

Quote (A11smart) Seriously, though, adding the garlic sauce to anything? Upon re-reading my post, Quote (GMH) really reminds me of the Red Stripe beer commercial where the guy goes from "ugly" to "beautiful" with the addition of an "ugly" bottle of beer. Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 6th August 2006 01:28) Papa John's Garlic Sauce. I hate ordering from Papa John's nowadays, mainly because I find the guy himself to have utterly abhorrent politics and I can't stand putting money in his pocket. But sometimes I cave, and that sauce is why. My weakness, though, is cookies. I can't think of a single kind of cookie that I wouldn't eat if you put it in front of me, and my absolute favorites just so happen to be the kinds that are worse than all the rest. Like, oatmeal raisin, okay, there's some healthy stuff in there that just is wrapped up in an unhealthy package. But give me a sugar cookie with some frosting on top of it, like those godawful technicolor ones you can find in every market's bakery, and I will just go nuts. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

I thought it was Domino's that had the problematic politics? Or at least related to starting a weird university in a mosquito-ridden swampfill town in the middle of southwest Florida. Anyway, I wonder what you would think of Aldi's oatmeal raisin cookies. I normally like Aldi, and I also normally like oatmeal raisin cookies, but Aldi's oatmeal raisin cookies are...strange. Hard, and flavored weirdly. As for cookies, I generally enjoy them with the exception of the unfortunately ubiquitous chocolate-chip cookie. My favorites are oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies. Nutella. Wholesome breakfast spread, my ass; c'mon, Ferrero, we all know it's a chocolate-flavored, sugar-filled fat-n-calorie bomb. But I can't stop dipping my Ritz crackers into it!
