Recently I noticed that there was a Final Fantasy sale on Playstation network. I then wondered whether Chrono trigger was on sale...... it was not It wasn't even on European PSN.
All of the PS1 Final Fantasy's were there so why not Chrono trigger? Chrono trigger is on the Wii virtual console here and it's on the US and Japanese PSN stores. I've heard tell of there being licensing problems in the EU but It wouldn't be much hassle for it to be put on there and it would make Square Enix more money..... So why not? The PS1 version of Chrono Trigger was never released in Europe - the first official version of the game there was the DS version. It's probably some licensing issues (which you alluded to) with Nintendo possessing the right to publish Chrono Trigger in Europe and Sony lacking them.

Let me add this. This version of Chrono Trigger is the FFC version which is a terrible port which caused Square and Sony to literally blame each other for the low quality of the disc.
The CGI movie was utterly broke and literally skipped the game that had a movie. To make it worse they directly ported this and never fixed this issue! The DS Version which was also released on the iPhone is the definite version to get. You're not missing out when I say your lucky you can buy this version. -------------------- His Divine Shadow |
