I've come to the point in my game where I just want to see how much damage I can make my black mage do. Hyenadons can drop the Strength Plus item, and from what my bestiary tells me they're the only ones. As far as I know, the best place to fight them is a set battle in the earth cave where you fight two of them. Anyone know of a better or faster way to get this item?

Maybe try gamefaqs.com for a list of dropped items or something. Try a google search too.

You mean you are trying to see how much damage you can make him do with a knife? lol that's interesting...

edit: But if it's a fixed battle then you can just walk back and forth and alwaus fight them. What is faster than that? And as far as I know there are about 4 or 5 places in the Earth Cave where you fight a fixed battle with them in it. All near chests.

You can also fight them in random battles above the Earth Cave. They aren't very common though.
