At what point does it become better not to use nunchakus or metal nunchakus. Or does it never make sense to use them.

I usually unequip my Black Belts around level 10 or 11...I've gone without ever equipping them with a weapon before, though. It basically evens out since he's weaker unarmed at lower levels, but will usually hit, and with nunchucks he does more damage, but less frequently.

Unarmed from the get-go, if you want to hit and do even minimal damage.

Thanks. I'm not even sure why I even asked considering the chances of me booting up the NES(if it even still works) and playing through this slow-paced game ever again are minimal.

It was closed cause my question was answered. And so that I wouldn't see the topic back again in 2 months when someone decided they wanted to provide an answer that was already given.

Black Belt Damage stat when unequipped is Level x 2
Black Belt Damage stat when equipped is the equipment's stat only (it isn't added to anything)

Looking at CoN's stats, you should unequip the Wooden Nunchaku at Lv 6 or 7
If you manage to get the Iron Nunchaku before Lv 8, then unequip it then or 9

I highly doubt this, mcc, seeing as how the Iron Nunchaku's base damage is 16 and your base damage is...6? pinch.gif

Maybe so but the iron nunchucks only did 11-14 damage while his fists were doing 16-17.

And my last post had a mistake he's at level 4 not 3 got in to a hurry. sorry

Is the critical hit rate higher bare handed than it is with weapons?

I believe, like someone said earlier, that when the bbelt is unarmed, all their hit and critical rates go higher than if they are armed, but base battle damage, goes higher if equipped while hit rates drop.

Does that make any sense, because i just now checked that on my psx ff1 game by unequiping and equiping my bbelt to see what changes... thumbup.gif

Lv 6 is the best time to stop using chucks. a BB has an atk of about 18 with iron chucks at lv 6, but he only hits once due to his acc being 23 (he needs 32 to change the hit count). without weapons his atk is 12 but he hits twice cause he hits with each hand. in theory his atk is around 24 which is much better than 18

I'm not sure,as I'm only around level 6 with my black-belts.I still use the nun-chucks.But,I'll test this theory to see whether it is true or not.Black-Belts...they're the best character (in my opinion)

dry.gif I don't think they're that great, sure they're stronger than the Knight near the end of the game, but they are terrible nonetheless.
