Caves of Narshe Forums > Chrono Trigger > Chrono Tigger. Terrible or Genius?

Posted by: Chell172 1st August 2011 19:54
As me and my friend were blabbing about games a while ago, I mumbled something about Chrono Trigger, and my friend mistook it for Chrono Tigger. Is this terrible or genius? Tigger could benefit from clothes.

(I'm not sure if this goes elsewhere.)

Posted by: Rangers51 1st August 2011 20:27
As far as I can tell, it's neither. It's genuinely nothing of record. No offense meant.

Posted by: BlitzSage 1st August 2011 20:38
So... this isn't a discussion/poll on the game... but on a misspelling of the game? *switches to another topic*

Not genius, but that's good. A Chrono Trigger, Winnie the Pooh crossover could definitely work in the same way Kingdom Hearts is apparently taken seriously.

Posted by: Glenn Magus Harvey 2nd August 2011 00:49
...what does Tigger benefitting from having clothes have to do with this idea?

.....alright, didn't think of that, lol. That would be a nostalgic explosion.

Man, it's been so long since I've watched that show I forgot he was naked.

Edit
Oh, and sorry for not being "in on the joke" earlier. Having a moment... all good now cool.gif

I null voted because I didn't think it was terrible but I didn't think it was genius either........

I can see it now...

1999 A.D. Lavos, emerges from Rabbit's house, and only Tigger has the power to fight this Lovecraftian Abomination. The battle for the Hundred Acre Woods...

begins...

Ah, but which main theme would take precedent? That is the real question!

I actually think that is better than KH due to the absurdity.

Hey, Kingdom Hearts worked... you know? And actually, there's no reason they couldn't add that idea into a Kingdom Hearts game, even in a sidequest type of deal.

Everyone knows that Tiggers cut off heads best.

Pleeeeeeease get that artist to post here. Please. smile.gif I even call it genius in the light of that.

Man, both companies have me so whipped, that made me tear up.... Wait, is the "C" in Chrono Trigger colored like Tigger? What, did this person know that this thread would happen, beforehand!?

Seriously, get that woman on this forum. That's awesome.

Seriously, that is class. Even Luca's expression is on Piglet's face. And the hunny tube, wow. I like it better like that: "Chrono Trigger as played by the creatures of Ashdown Forest".

Posted by: Songblade 4th August 2011 06:38
Haha, did someone call my name? smile.gif

I still admit, even though I think we have two copies of Chrono Trigger in the house, I still haven't played it so uh... I'm taking notes as to who needs to be who else. XD Thanks for liking my fanart, I had tons of fun painting it ^__^

Hey, it's you! You've become famous here pretty quickly. Welcome to Caves of Narshe, and play Chrono Trigger too.

I've never gotten the Trigger part...

And I guess the mumbling was from a Strong Bad Email... Look it up. biggrin.gif

I voted genius...but then again, I made a terrible FFT joke about "Winnie the Pooh Boar" yesterday, so... wink.gif

Posted by: Songblade 5th August 2011 16:57
Thanks for the welcome smile.gif As I'm unfamiliar with CT (and my memory of Winnie the Pooh is old), what cross-over characters should I do? Also, PM me if you would please, I don't mean to hi-jack this thread...

I love this place.

Chrono Tigger eh? It's like Kingdom Hearts, but different. I think it's genius. Not sure why, but that's my two cents.

Posted by: Dragoon Lance 3rd November 2011 01:11
Umm, genius obviously, it's the best RPG for the Super Nintendo and one of the greatest ever. I was really suprised when I first got the game how many people freaked out excitedly when I told them I bought Chrono Trigger; I've never gotten that kind of reaction over a video game before or since. People love this game.

The characters are all lovable and memorable, and for a game about time travel it somehow manages to keep from being convoluted; a problem that most Final Fantasy games suffer from. It's great fun and the only RPG aside from Final Fantasy 7 that I've been able to replay without getting bored immediately. I believe it's also only one of 7 games that GameSpot ever gave a perfect 10 rating to (out of tens of thousands).

Posted by: Glenn Magus Harvey 3rd November 2011 02:04
...I'm not sure you read the thread title correctly.

Edit
But if you did, and have seen Songblade's picture, I assure you that you will agree it's genius.

Remove the first R in Trigger.

We don't need two people correcting the guy, he'll either see it or he won't. Don't waste your posts saying what other people have already said. -R51

Oh haha, whoops, my bad. Should have read the thread rather than jumping straight into a response. That's what I get for logging on here late at night with blurry sleepy eyes.

While Chrono Tigger would have been interesting I would perfer to see Chrono Eeyore. He'd go back in time to try and prevent Tigger from constantly destroying his house! Who knows, in a certain timeline he might not even be grumpy...think you'd have to complete A LOT of side missions to get that ending though...

Posted by: Tchy 27th November 2011 21:08
Lol i never thought a combination like that could be possible. Man it's just LOL , just as i saw the title ''chrono tigger'' it was like wth.. but it's just so funny.

Posted by: TrueBOSS 30th November 2011 09:04
i didn't even notice the title til i read the third post but, after seeing that picture, I'm glad i voted genius.
Did a picture with all the chrono trigger characters ever get made?

Posted by: StoneHawk 29th May 2013 21:15
I mistook the spelling to be an error and regret to say I said Chrono Tigger was genious.
It's a mere pun. pinch.gif

Posted by: RavenLalonde 5th October 2013 17:03
Oh my. The pun is genius, the picture is genius, everything is genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Spooniest 7th October 2013 01:55
Terrible as the dawn.

Posted by: RavenLalonde 7th October 2013 21:18
Beautiful and terrible as the dawn, I think, is what you mean.
