Don't worry no spoilers.
You'll know that you'll be able to summon once you hear the music change. For the PS4 you'll see L2. What you have to do is hold down L2 for ten seconds and the event will happen. For those who have never played FFXV who are prob wondering how is this useful information. If you look on the trophy page for the PS4 for ffxv you'll notice at this moment only 29% of people who play were able to summon. Why the low number? Pretty much there is no tutorial to let you know you have the ability to summon and you summon randomly in battle typically when certain prerequisites happen in battle. The Astral you'll see more than anyone is Ramuh because he comes when the battle is not going well for the party. Most people press L2 with nothing happening and sometimes give a walk through that you have to press L2 and make another movement but simply you just hold L2 for ten seconds. Hope this helps someone This post has been edited by His Shadow on 12th December 2016 17:37 -------------------- His Divine Shadow |

It's odd that they don't tell you that, right? At first, I was pressing L2, but not holding it down, and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Then I looked it up online and saw that I needed to press and hold.

Gotta say I love how this thread is named such that it's like summoning is just...something people do, on a semi-regular basis.

Quote (Narratorway @ 31st December 2016 20:27) Wow! It's...uh...s'been a while... Was that directed at me? I know, it's been a while. I kind of got away from forums, then started using them again and thought, why don't I come back here to talk about FF15? -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Glad you did. It's good to see older members coming back. I don't blame you though. I've drifted away from here a couple of times but I always come back.

I'll only be shocked if I see Aerostar he's prob old in his late 40s now if he's still alive. I remember the old GSCCC and remember it was sites like that, that made AOL out to be a joke since it was against AOL's TOS somehow if you made some 15 year old moderator on some site mad and you could get suspended if that 15 year old mod said you were bad on there site lol This post has been edited by His Shadow on 15th February 2017 20:01 -------------------- His Divine Shadow |

He's not in his late 40s, he's around my age, and as far as I know, he's still alive. I just summoned Ramuh for the first time last night (and I didn't think my battle was going particularly poorly at the time, though maybe it was). I didn't remember this thread, though, and I don't think I held the button for ten seconds to make it happen. Maybe I did without realizing it, but it didn't feel that long. In any event, the game definitely should have done a better job mentioning it when the informational message pops up mid-battle to tell you it's an option. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
