Dancing mad for me! It fits so freaking well! Of course, OWA comes in at a close second... whenever I hear it, I get a mental image of some tribal shaman throwing live babies into a volcano. =^_^=

I really liked FFVIII's the extreme. *he edits his post in embaressment*

Though it lacked vocals ('cept for right near its start... Fithos,Lusec,Wecos,Vinosec) I still found it to be an incredible and fast peice of music. Absoloutly rockin!

The Zeromus fight was the best of them all. Great, fantastic piece. Really catchy, too. Dancing Mad comes in second for me.

Oh, and FF8's final battle theme is called The Extreme(great piece btw) and FF9's is just called Final Battle, like FF4's is called)

I don't know what it was about One Winged Angel that caught me but something about it just struck my interest... I've loved that song since the first time I heard it and it has been my favorite for years... it really has nothing to do with Sephiroth... I just like the song alot.

One Winged Angel. it's just so awesome. And now that I know what the lyrics mean (thanks to Wind God Gau), I like it even more. in fact, I just realized, I'm listening to it right now. weird coincidence.

I agree with Muggle Master about The Extreme from FF8. But does the beginning of it remind anyone else of 'The Nightmare's Beginning' from FF7? It's the song that plays in Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim at one point... Anyway, I liked The Extreme along with most of FF8's soundtrack.

Zeromus?? I thought his name was Zemus. Oh I liked FFVIII's, IX's, X, and VI. I also agree with Neal about FF8's soundtrack, it rocked.

my goodness, ok i admit ff6's battle song was pretty freaking good but nothing can compare to one winged angel. it opened like a horror movie and youre just like well CRAP that wasnt the real sephiroth. and then youre like well CRAP this guys got a wing instead of an arm and he looks mighty serious.

seriously what a great song. it also incorporated sephiroth's theme from earlier in the game which a lot of other ending battle songs dont do.

I can only limited to two choices, because I have only played THREE FF games in the past 4 years wacko.gif But from the games that I have played, I'm going with FFIX's, 'cuz as I didn't like too much about FFIX, the music was top-notch.
1 (and so far only) vote for FFIX's Final Battle music thumbup.gif

I went with Dancing mad. I was just a little kid when i beat FF6 so it gave me a huge high after , what seemed like, a very hard game. Climbing the tiers, Listening to dancing mad. I don't remember the first time i beat ff4. But FF4 and FF6 were the last games i could feel my heart in my throat before beating. I miss that feeling. And the music really helped to enhance it. FF7, maybe i was to old to fully appreciate the Sephiroth battle. But i didn't get that same tingle down my spine, like the one i still get when i listen to the Zeromus and Kefka battle themes. I chose Dancing mad because quite frankly i like Kefka more than Zeromus. Also the use of Organ reminded me strongly of good old castelvannia. But Zeromus was close.

I voted for “One-Winged Angel,” but I am very fond of both “Dancing Mad” and the music from the battle with Zeromus.

The One Winged Angel is the best, it has vocals and a dark theme to it, which matches Sephiroth's evil personality and anger. I like the remix of The One Winged Angel aswell.

Simply put, it kicks ass. It fits the mood of the fight, the situation, and the madman you're trying to stop.

I voted for FFVI, but Front Mission has the best final battle score in my opinion.

FFX the Otherworld awaits you!!!

really I like how they did with it... I also saw the lyrics... it didn't really made any sense to me, but I thought it was talking about Auron or somethin'...

and anyways, I always thought FFX music was the greatest of all the FF games...well at least for now...

I clicked on FF6's, but I meant to pick FF7's. Oh well, they both rock. I thought about picking Neo Exdeath just to stick up for FF5, but I honestly can't recall the song.

One Winged Angel ruled because of the jolly ol' apocalyptic feel and all that jazz, but that goes without saying, right? happy.gif

Wow, how did I miss this topic?

Dancing Mad. No known final battle music has beaten it, in my opinion.

The music so perfectly reflects Kefka's true nature and personality. The regular/irregular rhythms , combined with the wild use of tonality, show Kefka to be truthfully who he is--an absolutely wickedly insane, self-reenthroned fallen angel.

'One Winged Angel' hands down, for me. The music is awesome, the integration of the choir was incredibly well done altogether making for a very powerful piece of music.

Hit other but meant to go with one-winged. Mainly because of those many battles against Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts as opposed to beating FFVII.

Dancing Mad, obviously. For the record, FFIX's last battle music is called, appropriately, "Last Battle." FFVIII has three, and IIRC they're called "Maybe I'm a Lion," "The Extreme," and "The Successor."

I have no idea what the name of the song is, but my favorite is the FF3 (the real one) final boss music. And might I add that that boss is hard in ways that no other Final Fantasy boss is. Dark Cloud is evil... happy.gif

Is anyone aware that The Otherworld Awaits You is NOT FFX's final boss music?
(Unless the song during Braska's Final Aeon is a different song)

Anyway, I chose FFIX's. That music is bitchin.
