So yeah, who's your favourite non playable character? I thought this would be interesting, as I think many of the characters are uh... interesting?

Personally, I say Zalbaag. He's cool, and actually not "zomg evil" like many characters. I'd expected him to be a boss, but fighting together with him against Dycadarg was epic. Also, his death was tragic cry.gif

I'll have to go with Orran. Celestial Stasis/Galaxy Stop is one heck of a move. I always take advantage of the fact that anyone hit from it during the battle is completey useless. This allows me to steal the two knives from the Orator/Mediator and the Thief and also steal both of the Mythril Guns from the Chemist to save myself the trip thumbup.gif

I voted "other," with the answer of: The Goblin who threatens Boco when you first see him in the forest.

Algus was awesome. I wanted him to stay in the team longer. Ramza, Delita and him could've been a trio.

Delita was awesome. He is one of my favorite characters in the game. I wish I had more time with him to costumize him to my liking.

I may hate Algus the most out of any enemy, but I've always had a soft spot for dear ol' uncle Gafgarion, probably my favorite minor villain ever. From his black armor to Selleck mustache to evil HP-draining, he's just awesome. Really brings me back to the days when I used to try to turn Ramza in a Dark Knight...too bad he wouldn't be half as cool as the standard-bearer.

i voted Zalbaag. while he does kinda be a dick to ramza early in the game, he is epic when he comes around. plus he just looks cool.

Though it seems a tad cliche, I had to go with Delita. I love the way his character grew through FFT's story until the very end. Was there a comeuppance? Was it warranted? All up for opinion, but I found him a fascinating character to watch. Also, he was a pretty good fighter too whilst he lasted.

Ovelia was a close second, though, as I really liked her growth and development too. It was interesting to see the story twist around her as well in a different way until to paths met as one for an illuminating finale... Ever so poetic, if melodramatic.

Also, is "Tietra" Teta? If so, runner-up as plot deviiiiice. (Think "Ironyyyy" from the Family Guy movie.)

Here Ovelia was, caught in the middle of all this. Be honest, the story really does revolve around this innocent lady. It's not her fault and she had no choice.

Haha. Awesome.

My personal favorite NPC is Rofel, despite his being utterly underwhelming in battle. I'm not 100% sure why it is that I like him so much because he's really not all that impressive. That's life though.

I'd have to say other.

I liked Celia and Lede's skills when you fought them with Elmdor.
They often caused your party to be at a disadvantage, but would have been really helpful if one could have them as characters.

Yes, I think that's what they called her in the PSP version.

Yes, I think that's what they called her in the PSP version.

Indeed. Tietra is the new localization of her name. It's more clear how to pronounce it IMHO.

EDIT: I voted Ovelia because she is not afraid to stand up to people like Delita. And she has the ever awesome MBarrier. I would have voted Alma if she were an option, though. I liked her character. And she also had MBarrier.

Gaffgrion's night sword is the bomb handily combining damage and healing plus looking too cool! I only wish he could be recruited.

I voted Weigraf. I love following his character through three chapters, and he's one of the longest standing villains in the game too. He's a son of a bitch, and yet I still sympathize with him for some reason.

I voted for Wiegraf, but I want to tag Milleuda along with that vote. I just really love the whole concept of the Death Corps/Corpse Brigade. They were essentially fodder for the nobility's war. I love the things Milleuda says when you fight her at the thieves' fort and then at the pass.

Winner of the 2006 Incognito Contest contest.
I have to run with Izlude. The guy was a tough opponent, combining Lancer and Knight skills, and he had a great sprite. Sucks that he didn't have much character development though. Second Place is Rofel, I like the blue tunic he sports, and I would constantly hack his sprite in as a playable character.

Ovelia

Not only because of her MBarrier and her nice starting items (despite only being present in one fight) but the sheer gravity of her position amidst the political power play and her tragic love to Delita, whom she sought to kill only because she was fed up with being used(if I am remembering correctly...). Had she not been born then much of the story of Final Fantasy Tactics would not have happened. Huzzah to the little things that move stories along!

I like Wiegraf a lot, but I'd probably go for Delita...there's something about someone doing horrible, horrible things for all the right reasons that works really, really well.
