Out of curiosity, does anyone know the growth rates for the Dark Knight job class (and the Onion Knight)? Are Dark Knights particularly blessed in some area? (I'd guess PA, but I'm not sure.)

Thanks.

Dark Knights apparently have below average stats, with the exception of their high PA growth (Second only to Mimes, I believe).

Onion Knights are an interesting case. In which you have to level up the class to get their good stat growth (which involves mastering classes) If fully leveled, however, they have the highest stat growth in the game, even beating out Mimes.

I'm not too sure about this, so hopefully someone can confirm it.

Thanks. It's not a life or death situation. I was just curious.

Onion Knight can Level Up only if you use the special ability of the last pig. Using this trick, you can obtain the perfect character in really few time.

Its like this Crash Endburn, unlike the other classes the Onion Knight class does not gain exp or jp for any actions they do, meaning they cant gain a level, however the Wild Boar has an ability called "Bequeath Bacon" ("Please Eat" in the PS1 original) when the Wild Boar uses it, it kills itself and turns itself into a crystal, but the target gains a level. (think of it as the unit eating the Wild Boar). "Bequeath Bacon" can only be accessed if there is a human unit with Monster Skill next to the Wild Boar. However, the Onion Knight also has no skills and cannot equip any abilities. So that means in order for them to level up, you need 3 units. The Onion Knight, the Wild Boar and a unit with Monster Skill standing next to each other (the Wild Boar should be in the middle). The other thing good about the Onion Knight is that they can equip any of the equipments in the game, male Onion Knights can equip female only items, and there are Onion equipments (the best equipments in the game) that only the Onion Knight can equip. However as saileboat said, in order for Onion Knight to have the best stat growth in the game, you have to master all the other classes first, after that, you must use the method above to level up the Onion Knight. So you have to deciede if its worth all that trouble to "get the perfect character"
