This is a new thread, unrelated to the prior thread.

We're looking for a few trustworthy people to help us out temporarily with some data entry. This is not a staff position, and it's not going to get you lots of recognition or special privleges. But if you have a few minutes, and want to help us out, we're ready to hear from you.

The task is data entry. It's pretty easy, really. All it involves doing is typing information that you will get from a game into a text file, saving it, and emailing it to me. You need to be responsible enough of a person to do the work on time; you need to be trustworthy enough to do the work accurately enough that we don't need to double- and triple-check you; and you need to be willing to do the tasks in the manner we prescribe.

The information we need is from FF1 - Dawn of Souls and FF4 (PSX). If you do not have these games or the ability to get reliable data from these games, we can't use you right now, sorry.

If you're interested, just post here or PM me. We can talk and get you set up for your chance to pitch in around here.

Resurrection here to say that we're still working on the GBA versions of FF1 and FF4. Still have some people on the hook, but generally the more the merrier.

I've got both GBA versions, both completed and at various areas. so I could help.

We are now primarily focused on FF4 Advance. Specifically, we BADLY need a walkthrough for any content that is unique to the Advance version. Please visit chat, PM me, or post here if you think you can write.

Since I'm almost at the add ons in FFV advance (I'm just slowly playing through)
I could write a guide on them as I play through

I have pretty much every Final Fantasy there is with me, except those in japanese or FF12 (dang, my finances). I have FF1, Dawn of Souls, FF4 (PSX version), and FF4 advance too.

I've played Final Fantasy IV since I was 9 years old. I play it even today and I know it like the back of my hand. I could probably write a rudimentary guide for the bonus dungeon, too.

It is my favorite FF after all.

What I need is a complete walkthrough for the GBA content. If that's not what you're offering, I can't really use you right now but I'll keep note of these messages for later, when other things should come up.

So, do you want, with the walkthrough, the stats of the bosses and weaknesses, and telling how to beat the monster? Can you elaborate because i'm not sure exactly what kind of walkthrough your going for here.

Is this walkthrough going to try to be like your other walkthroughs, or are you trying something different? Thanks.

It should be very similar to the FF7 walkthrough already on the site. A chapter for each trial, chapters for the Ruins broken down as necessary, things like that. I've not played the bonus content so it's a bit hard for me to say exactly what we'd be looking for - there would be a significant editorial process.

Boss strategies would be good. Stats and weaknesses we already have.

Can do, but just one more question, maybe.

Do you want the walkthrough all in one, then you can seperate it into parts. Or do you prefer we seperate the parts for you because it really doesn't matter to me. I'm just at my house bored with nothing to do, so if you want me to seperate it, then i will be happy to.

Also does it matter what section we break it up into? Do want all hidden items, and stuff of the sort (stupid question because i know you do, but you knows, you might not)?

Any extra info will be helpful, i want to break it up the way you want it, and i'll do the work. You can tell me in a PM, or say it here.

You can do it in pieces or all in one big file. We just want to set it up like you see in FF7. We do the code and the navigation, you just do the writing. The sections are kind of up to you but they need to make sense. Don't split up a dungeon in the middle unless it's for a REALLY good reason. We do want every item and every enemy you might run into in that section, too.

And, this goes to anyone thinking about writing - the writing needs to be pretty much pristine. The less editing I have to do, the better off, and the more likely I am to be happy with you later. Oh, and also for everyone else considering this, be prepared to do it all. If you think you might do a couple chapters and then decide you don't like doing it, then don't start at all. That makes it easier on me.

Do a couple chapters and send them to me, I'll give feedback.

As Josh mentioned in another thread, the problem with THIS thread is that people offer to help and then never actually do anything. Seriously, don't volunteer unless you're actually going to do what you're asked to. Flaking makes you look bad and slaps Josh with more work.
