Neal just shared this link in chat and I thought it was too good to not show in the forums. It's probably especially impressive for people who enjoy Minecraft, but I'd say it's pretty neat all around.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q20-m-8zZA I hope Squenix understand what Minecraft is, or there's a C&D coming this guy's way for sure. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

That's really well made. I think I'd get a lot more satisfaction out of painstakingly building something like that than watching it though. I suppose that's the whole point.

Jeez...I'm so enraptured by Minecraft, but it's so daunting at the same time...very impressive.

I should point out that this guy poured in even more work than your typical Minecrafter (hm, do we have a thread for that? I should look). Most people have seen enough MC by now to know that the default textures look nothing like this, so on top of actually building something cool, he even took the time to modify all the textures so they looked "right," too. Really clever.

Holy crap, that's amazing. Not a PC gamer by any means, but seeing seing something so pristine and beautiful makes me want to get Minecraft. If my backlog weren't so enormous, I might even be tempted to replay CT 'cause of that.

Really clever. I would really like to know how he pulled that off too. Texture packs for minecraft are a dime a dozen (so much that the creator updated the game user interface to integrate them into the game), but there's some things he did here that I just can't wrap my head around. -------------------- |

I feel pretty ashamed now that I own Minecraft but I haven't actually done anything in it...

I can't even play the damn thing because of pointless errors occuring before the game has started up for the first time. I just lost twenty bucks. Curse you, Mojang. |
