I've expressed opinions on Chrono Cross on other threads, and the abundance of these types of threads recently (by two people who act like the same person, no less) is starting to irritate me, but I'll try to answer intelligently.

Chrono Cross was a pretty good and very ambitious game that lacked the magic of Chrono Trigger. The multitude of characters, interesting setting, and solid music were the game's high points for me, but the annoying element system and tiresome forging system got on my nerves occasionally. I don't want to keep this post too long, so I'll conclude with this: I've only played CC once and I realize that it's deeper than to the extent which I explored, but I think that it tried too hard to be the next Chrono Trigger and is a somewhat overrated game (so many perfect scores... wtf?).

I disagree. And if you're not, you'd best explain how you're not pretty quick!

The music was the clincher for me, and is, oddly enough, one of the main reasons I still replay the game. That vibrant, ethnic sea-music is magnificent, and conveys atmosphere better than many games.

The forty-four character lineup brings a lot to the table, but ultimately sacrifices the majority of the non-main characters' development. It wasn't completely forgotten, which is why I've found a comfort zone in it.

Great story, too, even if it was a bit confusing to some. New Game Plus only brought out more of the fun hidden in the game (Fast Forward!). Truthfully, I'd rather play this than its predecessors. There's just something there that Trigger lacks...

PO-SHU-SHU!

Look Rangers we are not the same person we just sit next to each other in class and we can tell when we make a topic so we reply to each other.

And very spammy! If someone wants to create a Chrono Cross thread (or find an old one and revive it) that isn't just "have you played it", go right ahead, because this is already a trainwreck.
