another odd, weird, sorta deranged topic from Mookie if you got to choose a superpower of some sort, what would it be? (example: telekenisis, telaphy, the ability to leap over tall buildings, flying, big and strong, etc.) I would've made this a poll but there are just too many choices to choose from I would love to have the power of telekenisis. move objects with my mind. use it at school! haha! Teacher: we're going to take notes as soon as i find a marker to write on the board. Ah here it is [mookie moves marker] It's over here now? [mookie moves marker again] [teacher begins to get confused] Yes, about those notes [mookie moves marker again] [teacher watches marker move] [teacher has mental breakdown] Class dismissed! Hurrrrrrraaaay! oh yeah, i'd have a field day with telekenisis

If not telekenisis, then teleportation.  It would be so nice to just be able to zap somewhere and not have to run across campus on lab days... And also I wouldn't have to spend time in the car!

I'm a Scorpio, so I've always thought it'd be neat to control water...though that's more of a magic power than a super power.

For me, it's a toss-up between teleportation and phasing (that's the best word I can use to describe passing through solid objects).

Telepathy, to the point where I can read minds and everything but also plant suggestions in peoples heads, and well yeah control people with my mind. That and to make things catch fire and explode my focusing on it. So if it isn't flammable, it explodes. I love super powers.

I would like to have telepathy like in "What Women Want" with good 'ole Mel Gibson. That or to transform into different kinds of animals. I could fly as a bird, run super fast as a cheetah, or just knock someone's head of their shoulders as a bear.

Wow, that's a hard one. I'd have to say telepathy would be excellent, from reading minds to subtle influence over others' actions to not so subtle methods of totally controlling their every move.  On a simliar vein, kinesis would be very interesting, as in the ability to affect energy itself with your mind.  Naturally, I wouldn't mind super-strength or super-speed, since both would come in handy in many situations.  And flying would be cool, just for the experience.  And of course, we can't rule out just plain making things blow up. Agh, it's too hard.

Telekinesis would be my first choice.  If one was skilled enough with such a power, there is little that one couldn't do.  One would also be almost unstoppable.  Those of you who want to be able to fly...you realize that that would be possible with telekinesis?  You could have your cake and eat it too. The ability to set things on fire is called pyrokinesis.  That would be fun, to be sure.  Invisibility, telepathy, teleportation...those would be awesome, too.  And when I say teleportation, I don't mean just myself...I mean other people and objects, too.  Also, time travel would be nice.  And as far as practicality goes, I really wish that breathing, eating, and sleeping weren't necessary. It'd be awesome to be really fast, too.  Were I a comic book character, I'd probably want my power to be control over gravity.  Can't be too powerful.

Transmorgification ^-^ Now that would rule, to be able to turn into an animal at will. Not sure what I'd be though, but in an rpg that I used to be in, I was a fairy that could turn into a hawk. I didn't get to use her much, but I thought that was a neat concept.

Ooooo, of course I agree with Elena! Being an anthromorphic creature would be neat. The ability to turn into one, instead of an animal would be kewl too. I mean, picture just walking down the street and seeing someone like that Heehee, it'd be funny.

I would want the ability to transform into any animal that I please...because doing so would give me many abilities that humans deem "super powers."  I could turn into a bird and fly around, or I could turn into a chameleon and gain camouflage.  If I were a dolphin I'd be very powerful underwater.  Just watch out for tuna nets, I guess.

You mean "cryokinesis," right?  And yes, that would rule. Another cool ability would be invisibility.  Think of all the fun pranks you could play!  Plus it would be interesting to see what people say about you when you're "not there".

I would want the ability to manipulate energy, including my own body's energy field. That makes so many abilities possible:telekinesis, pyrokinesis, cryokinesis, just about any kind of kinesis... Also you can add energy (and thus strength) to punches and lifting and stuff resulting in super strength. lasers from you fingertips, crontrolling electrical circuits, etc., etc., etc... Enough of my rantings...

Well I have a sample of gifts that people would like based of LoK series first I will list Raziel's gifts. 1. Ability to phase through metal grates. 2. Ability to climb any vertical surface. 3. Ability to swim at any depth and not worry about running out of air. 4. Ability to constrict- create a band of spectral energy to move imoveable object. 5. Summon Wraith Blade- yep summon you're own symbiotic soul stealing weapon. 6. Shift into spectral realm. This ability would be the most useful. You can't get sick here and your body slowly restores itself. Plus when you are cornered go to spectral realm and watch te muggers disappear while you escape. Kain's(not Highwind) Gifts 1. Mist Become invisble when in the presence of mist. Wouldn't be that useful. 2. Fury Knock people back and hurt them bad in one blow. 3. Jump Jump great distances cross river banks in one leap very useful. 4. Charm control others read their thoughts and make them do your bidding. 5. Berserk Open up with a flurry of blows sending your opponent reeling through the air always cool to watch. 6. Telekinesis we all know already 7. Immolate Incerate you opponent in one go. Preferably I'd prefer to fly that would be good.

Divination.  Various abilities included - mind reading, farsight, etc., - all tieing in with the phrase "knowledge is power".  Government secrets, what's going on behind your back, what DF is thinking at any given time, and how they get the caramel in the caramilk bars.

We did this poll in our class last year.  Why?  I don't know... I think we had some spare time in English and someone wanted to ask.  I think it was just teleportation and invisibility though... and reading minds.  We decided that reading minds would only be useful if you could shut it off, otherwise it would be just plain out annoying.  Well, I think invisibility won out 20 to 12 or so.  Bunch of pervs.  =P

Ahh...a rather old question, but still good as always. It's rather hard to decide, too.. Mmmm...But I would go with good ol' telekinesis powers.  General telekinesis.. Pull over things, push, make things flies around with your sheer willpower, make 'em desintegrate from the molecular level...Heck, even flying is in the rang of Kinetics powers if you know what your doing(Using your powers to 'push' you from the ground and...well, fly. Or at least, levitate.)

I'd want the ability to make sense out of my own thoughts. I swear there are more voices yelling in my head at once than at a rock concert, right as the band steps onstage. It seems everyone wants to be able to get things to burn with the power of their minds. So much for my originality. Here's another crazy power DF would want.......the ability to, at my exact moment of death, switch my mind with any other person, so that I continue living in someone else's body, still with my mind, or soul, or whatever, while the person I switch with goes to my previous corpse and dies. It's kinda like immortality only If I deicde not to switch I don't have to.

Telepathy/Telekinesis.  Jean Grey could be the most powerful mutant if she could use her powers to their fullest, which is why I'd want to have them.

Allright well so many choices... Flying would be hella cool except as humans we do have limits so we can't fly too fast or we would burn up.  Plus I would think flying would be really cold.  The wind would chill you to the bone I bet.   Teleportation would be really cool and cut down on travel time as well as making you rich and powerful.  There are a few people whom I might not mind teleporting a few hundred feet into the air.... Telepathy and telekinisis would be great but as many scifi's have pointed out it would drive you crazy very quickly if you couldn't turn it off.  And moving objects would be really really really great depending on the limits of your power.  And do I even need to mention mind control??? Phasing offers so many many diffrent and sweet possabilitys but wouldnt teleportation be just as good if not better?? assuming that is you can teleport anywhere instantly. Invisibility would be nice but wouldnt mind powers be better? just control part of peoples minds to make people not see you.   However my fav and choice would be compleate and total omnipotance.  Being able to see and know all.  If you had this you would know enough about physics and science and everything else to be a god.  You could just geneticly enhance yourself to be super strong and fast.  And of course you could create personal shalding and then personal flight not to mention teleportation.  and if your going to know how everyone is going to react and what everyones going to do and know everything thats as good as reading minds.  I am also sure you could make some sort of cloaking device to make yourself invisable.  I am not sure if mind control however is possable so you might be able to get that.  All in all omnipotance seems like the best thing to me.  Oh yeah and the cure all desease and war and prevent accadents and everything is nice too.....

This got me really thinking, I mean deap thinking. Give me the ability to see the past.  Or to see past the walls people put up between themselves and others. The ability to not need food sleep or a roof would accomplish a lot, though not as much as being able to chang one substance to another. Although... In the end, I'd stick with the ability to grow a better beard. I think that would make me most content.

I would have to have the ability to be as fast as the "flash".(for those who dont know who the "flash" is, he is a comic book character who was hit by lightning and had the spead of a lightning bolt after he recoverd.(if I remember right))being able to run as fast as a lightning bolt would be fine for me. Now you say to yourself why dosent he just wish to have everything superman has? well I'm trying to be ariginal. Evreyone thinks to themselves one time or another "wouldent it be cool to have "supermans" powers? You all see my point......dont you.......... ...........

Aside from having the power to either cook or Freeze[see later post] my enemies, or any other fool who dared to get in my way. I would like to be able to pull of those "Matrix" style moves, dodge bullets, jump from building-to-building... Can you just see me standing ontop of a skyscraper, leather trenchcoat, dark glasses, fireball in one hand, iceball in the other. Try and pull shit in my city, I don't think so.

Hmmm...I'd have a tough time picking which super power I'd want most, as I have lots of ones I'd like to have. I'd like to be able to read people's minds to see what they really think of me instead of the pathetic attempt at hiding how much that really don't like me. Invisibility would be great, to hear in how much people talk behind my back and hear what really goes on behind the fake wall they put up when I'm around. Super fast reflexes would be awesome because then I could react when I'm walking down a hall and people scream in my ear, jump at me for some odd reason, or give me a weird look, and I could do somethin crazy to top their act. Immortality would be great, because then I'd have no qualms about throwing myself off a building or running out in front of a car, to vent my frustrations at the world around me in a life I do not fit in. However, I think to me the greatest gift I could ever receive is the ability to talk clearly and interestingly in any situation.  If I could carry on a conversation that could last more than 15 minutes on a subject my friends are interested in hearing my input on, and actually carry it on with me, then my life is complete.
