| I've been playing FFV PSX version, and I'm having a couple weird issues. I've been looking online and repeatedly reading that Trainer's level 4 ability is Catch, but when I switched jobs to Trainer for the first time he already had it. Plus, that same character (as a Trainer) has !Black as an ability, but can only cast magic level 2 spells even though he's a level 4 black mage. Is there something I'm missing? |

| What it means is that while you can use the Catch ability as soon as you first start using the Trainer job, once you learn it as a level 4 ability, you can then have it as an ability while using a different job. !Black works in the same way in that, when you're a Black Mage, each ability level that you learn gives you access to different black magic spells while in another job. Level 1: Fire, Blizzard, Thunder Level 2: Poison, Sleep, Toad Level 3: Fira, Blizzara, Thundara Level 4: Drain, Break, Bio Level 5: Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga Level 6: Flare, Death, Osmose Level 7: Increases the character's max MP by 30%. |

| Thank you for the reply. So let me just make sure I got this. If I take that character, change her job to Black Mage, and level up; then i'll eventually be able to use more advanced spells when I switch to different jobs? Thank you so much. |

| Yeah, as long as you give them the !Black ability of course. |
