Anyone giving this a try?

I’m just set to get on the Floating Continent right now and I gotta say this hack is A Lot. I had to grind before doing Mt. Koltz, and then on internet advice I did the Lethe River Trick to get up to level ~30. This made random encounters mostly not a problem, though it did trivialize a number of bosses (not Gil Turtle, and definitely not the horrid Intangir (yeah I know it’s not a buss but still)).

Given how little time it’s been fully translated into English it’s not unsurprising there’s very little in the way of resources and discussion online but it definitely makes it harder to work through tough spots without community knowledge

This links somewhere else for the most curent patch version, but afaik is where most people are finding or or being directed to, since Tomato apparently did the whole initial translation

This looks extremely bizarre and intriguing. If I weren't already doing a playthrough of Pixel Remaster I'd think about trying this out, ha.

I'm double-posting because everyone in Discord is lazy. Sorry.

Tommah reminded me when I shared this thread in there that Tomato is the same guy who put together the book in this FF4 thread: https://www.cavesofnarshe.com/forums/ipb/in...showtopic=17975

Oh dang that’s rad!

I ran across Tomato in, like, middle school as the primary translator of the English patch for Bahamut Lagoon so seeing even cooler projects by the same person really lights up those nostalgia centers

I'm actually enjoying this a lot. A friend sent it to me a while back and while it does have a very bizarre difficulty factor- I think it's worth as play for any FF6 fan. The fact that it has a bounty system is something that I'm enjoying a lot. I haven't gotten very far yet but I intend to keep going. Also, they just dropped a patch for using their sprites in the Pixel Remaster. I freaking love their Terra sprite.

Highly recommend!

So far my two hardest challenges (given how overleveled I am) have been Gil Turtle and figuring out how to defeat Intangir (now I can do so consistently but I need either Gau or Strago or it is Not Happening)

And I gotta AP grind on that sweet, sweet 20-AP Intangir before heading up to the floating continent

I like how Siegfried has been replaced by Gilgamesh, and how Gilgamesh has shown up three whole times already (when Siegfried is seen, what, 2? 3? whole times in Vanilla) and does not yet feel gratuitous.
