Sooooooooooooooo....
I'm tying to steal the Protect Ring to get a full set of 4, but it's a rare steal.
I know Return doesn't work (I found out the hard way)
After reading the CON page I'm still confused.
I watched a youtube video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRKndJmDqfc...lCF6P0z2RtOvvOn
And the guy used Return, and it Reset the timer!
It's the GBA version, which is what I'm playing, so why did the timer reset in the Odin battle for him and not for me? sad.gif

Yeah...after I died I realised I hadn't saved since I was in the Pyramid of Moore....

FACEPALM!

I had a quick search and apparently, due to a bug, Return doesn't reset the timer in the North American version like it should.

I'm assuming that's the version you're playing?

Since it's due to a version difference, does anyone know if this works on the SNES version, which I'd presume is the intended version?

From what I've been able to find, it's just the North American GBA version, but I'm not 100%.

Returns works fine on the SNES version (timer goes back to what it was at the start of the battle)

I think it should say somewhere on the back where it's from.

It was just the cartridge that came in the mail. The whole box and stuff was Ł50 more expensive

If you want a fourth Protect Ring, it's better to steal them from the Soul Cannon inside the Phoenix Tower. You don't need to squeeze one from Odin in the small amount of time you fight him.

Though Hermes Sandals are superior Accessories anwyay (and a must-have for this seasons fashion).

Thanks!

Also, I never really used Hermes sandals, as I always had My lenna Time, white and Mix setup. I'd find it easier just to cast quick, hasteaga and then meteor/holy. Then I'd have the added defence from Protect Rings, evasion from elven capes or Elemental resistance from rings.
