I posted this in another forum I'm a member of, and so far no problems.  Also, I never said you had to do this, only if you want.  I understand you might not know many of these people, but you could just do it for fun.  Also, the entire point of what I'm doing will be revealed at the end.  Don't worry, I can keep track.
